I never said that. I said that if they had been 3 or 4 up at ht as they should have been, then the cigars would have been out. We played well second half. Played like that all season we'd be looking at top 10. But isn’t that why you have a keeper in goal Uber son made some good saves but I wouldn’t say any of there chances should have been defo goals. Maybe the one 2nd half that hit iverson in the face The one first half he was full stretch to push wide,

We have to go to Preston and win. It’s that simple. If we don’t the last 2 performances count for very little. In reality we don’t mate We could win and go down and we could lose and stay up It would be fantastic but it doesn’t hinge on Preston away We simply cannot afford a poor performance even if we can afford a defeat. A poor showing akin to Blackburn with a result to match and the good work of the last 2 games is down the pan!

We pushed them back The Leeds fans were getting very edgy as they relied on the breakaway second half as we were dominating midfield Their manager has come out and said it was his proudest win of the year, they had to dig deep to get it. That's not a bad sign. We've got to translate this into points sooner rather than later though. He said that because it was their third game in a week and he rested players. From what I saw he gave Stoke no credit

Regardless of how well we have played over the past two games (and arguably Cardiff where I think we were unlucky), I worry about the psychological impact on the team if Huddersfield and QPR win tonight. At the moment goal difference is what has us in the bottom three, but being an actual point from safety could have doubts creeping in ahead of Preston this weekend.

Easy answer is NO
On the contrary, play like that and we go down
Unable to score, unable to keep a clean sheet, 0 points taken from the game
You dont stsy up by taking 0 points

Last night whether we were top or bottom was always going to be a big ask, which we nearly answered. If we play like that, we definitely stay up. The main problem is that we know we won’t play that well every game. We’re in this until the end of the season, even if we win 4 more.

Agree with most of the OP - and I am our most negative fan. However, the last 2 games I do feel like there has been a bit of a shift in attitude, formation and starting eleven. I like that we have a back four where all playing in it are ok in defensive positions(no square pegs), How often have Baker and Laurent been in the same team, if both can stay fit and hit form then we might be in for a nice surprise, Bae is possibly beginning to show his potential a bit more, Million looks like he is hitting his stride and maybe more to come, keeper beginning to hit form, Wilmott getting back to his best - this is my attempt at being optimistic Before these 2 games all I could see was us getting relegated, not winning another game and limping into tier 3, but now I think we will at least put up a fight and am interested in what is going on - this interest could be lost in a heartbeat if he puts Thompson at left-back and Cundle starts the next game.

We showed more intensity, desire and teamwork but we still lost, because we can't score for toffee and we concede like it's going out of fashion.

No but when you get the run of the green in the last second of the game and a glorious opportunity presents itself to your captain inside the box only to see him putting in the weakest shot ever when he should have put his laces through it and either burst the net or made their goalie throw up last Xmas’ turkey then you do get that sinking feeling that no, it’s not going to be all right. Sorry if I’m being pessimistic

Most of the Leeds supporters I talked to on the walk back from Elland road to Leeds station thought we were worth a draw, but surely we are now in the position where however well we play, our chances of staying up have become far too intertwined with what Huddersfield and QPR do. I only really get to away matches in the North at present, and the performance I saw on Tuesday night was massively better than the last one I saw at Blackburn, but I'm not optimistic about staying up at present.
Be interesting to see how Leeds get on against Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow night - again, a lot of their supporters that I talked to weren't looking forward to it.

I don't see that our chances are necessarily intertwined with QPR and Huddersfield. From what I've seen lately, QPR are playing well enough to pull away and I expect them to. There are about 8-10 teams in this still, and Plymouth, Brum and Blackburn look just as likely to fall into it and more so than QPR at current rates. It won't be easy, but I suspect we'll have enough. Mmaee is about ready to come back into action, Tyrese looked more his old self on Tuesday. I think the goals will come in sufficient number to keep us up.

QPR last night, WBA worldie, poor defending for second goal, missed a penalty, poor refereeing decision denied them of a penalty, huffed and puffed with no real quality, very Stoke looked ke to me.
