It appears our Robbie is in the early stages to make a consortium-backed bid to buy the Vale.
Also, a TV series appears to be in the works to coincide with the deal.
Thoughts?

What's it called?
My life without soap?
Stand undelivered (The lorne street years)? Music by adam and the ant.
DIY SOS (the hamil end bogs redevelopment)?
Or maybe slum dog millionaire (the boslem days)

Sweet Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey too! This is going to amazing! Does that mean he'll have to give his exec box at Stamford Bridge a miss now š¤š¤£ He's clearly seen the Wrexham story unfold hasn't he & thought he fancies a bit of similar publicity

Who the fuck cares about Robbie Williams in 2024? 50+ year old women perhaps. Hardly Ryan Reynolds is he? Can really see Welcome To Burslem on Amazon Prime having a blast ratings wise. Interviewing the unwashed with panorama views of Cobridge Corner as Sharon the local dust sniffer tries to earn enough to fund her latest sniff.

Easily as big a star as Ryan Reynolds, probably bigger overall.

In 1976 John Elton was the biggest star in the world. He bought his club Watford. His financial input was big part of their rise up the leagues.
One of Elton's modern day equivalents would be Ed Sheeran. Amongst the world's most popular pop singers who is worth many many millions of quid.
The difference is Sheeran is a sponsor at his club. Even with his huge wealth and ongoing earning potential, his fortune wouldn't be enough to guarantee sustainable progress. It's seriously expensive to fund football.
If Robbie williams is serious he really needs to make sure his consortium are prepared to splash loads of cash and be in it for the long haul.

The same Robbie who is paid to promote vaccines and climate change? Sorry this will upset a few. If this is correct then another two faced twat then. Flys from USA to England each week now then spouting off about how āthe normal folkā should only fly once in ten years and takes big pharma money to promote a vaccine that stops the spread but actually doesnāt.

I don't think there is any truth in it to be honest and the rag is just making assumptions with him being there at the weekend and being named president.
If I was a Vale fan I would want to know more about the consortium who would actually be financing and backing the deal, because I guarantee Robbie would be the face only, with very little investment. Being famous doesn't make you an instant good owner.

Basically... Stinking rich guy who was born around the corner has a few spare million and wants to put it into his boyhood club.
Nothing wrong with that at all imo and if they do get a documentary it will do wonders for the local area. Look at what it's done for Wrexham!
Nobody can tell me after watching the Black Country derby the other day it doesn't make you crave a Potteries derby again

I wish Vale all the success possible as long as they stay one division below us and never cross our path in any cup.

They're still dining out on beating us in 2001! They were unbearable when they had that year or two in the league above us as well, and if we were on fire, they wouldn't give us the steam from their piss to help. All this "good luck to them, don't mind Vale me" nonsense really grates, they absolutely despise us. Robbie is an (alleged) junk head who will inevitably get bored after a few years anyway.

The TV deal is a smart move, since Reynolds at Wrexham (and the Fergie boys at Salford?) probably covered most of their investment, if not more, through the income it generated. Has the idea run its course, though? Still, although it would literally be a bonus, I donāt suppose Robbie will mind that much. It depends how much of a money pit Vale would be.

Does them gloating about beating us once seriously bother you that much? Why anyone would care about another club is beyond me..especially one like them . Strange way to be .
