I don't think there is any truth in it to be honest and the rag is just making assumptions with him being there at the weekend and being named president. If I was a Vale fan I would want to know more about the consortium who would actually be financing and backing the deal, because I guarantee Robbie would be the face only, with very little investment. Being famous doesn't make you an instant good owner. He doesn’t have money for this 100%. Complete rubbish. Reported net worth of £225m

I'd personally love to see us play them regularly. It would be great for the city and both clubs.
I've missed having a proper rivalry with another club. It's been lacking amognst our support for years.

If he's worth 225 million, he'd have to be prepared to lose a chunk if he's serious about pushing Vale forward.

It's been lacking amognst our support for years. it just wouldnt end well, look at the last time we kind of played them with our kids and the aggro that followed it would be like that at least twice a season if not worse now with the resurgence in football related disorder

I’d like to know “at what million do you start talking like a bellend in that weird broken I’m not the same as you anymore voice” Caudwell is the same, uses big and unusual words to try and sound more interesting. Also to caudwell “at what million did you start dressing like a magician” I remember that twat when he and his brother were dodgy second hand car salesmen at the bottom of Hartshill Bank.

And run the risk of them gloating when they inevitably beat us? They're still dining out on beating us in 2001! They were unbearable when they had that year or two in the league above us as well, and if we were on fire, they wouldn't give us the steam from their piss to help. All this "good luck to them, don't mind Vale me" nonsense really grates, they absolutely despise us. Robbie is an (alleged) junk head who will inevitably get bored after a few years anyway. Does them gloating about beating us once seriously bother you that much? Why anyone would care about another club is beyond me..especially one like them . Strange way to be . I'm guessing you don't live in the area or have family members/friends who are Vale fans? It wears a bit thin after a while.

Who the fuck cares about Robbie Williams in 2024? 50+ year old women perhaps. Hardly Ryan Reynolds is he? Can really see Welcome To Burslem on Amazon Prime having a blast ratings wise. Interviewing the unwashed with panorama views of Cobridge Corner as Sharon the local dust sniffer tries to earn enough to fund her latest sniff. His globally-released Netflix doc just did alright mate. Not in his heyday now, of course, but he’s a household name throughout the world. Easily as big a star as Ryan Reynolds, probably bigger overall. Well sorry he's not,on a recent visit to Malaysia a local asked me where i was from trying to explain where Stoke on Trent is i said WEDGWOOD,ROYAL DOUTON,no he said, so thought local person i said ROBBIE WILLIAMS,he didn't have a clue who he was,i finally got there by saying GORDON BANKS

What he should do is,buy the Vale, sell the ground to housing developers,Vale then ground share with Hanley Town, that way Vale can play in front of a full stadium.
Job done.

Bullet dodged there, not sure for which party though. The perpetually in-crisis lower league football club or the formerly drug-addled twitchy narcisist?

I doubt West Brom fans get wound up by Walsall

I haven’t the energy to feel hurt about Vale potentially doing well for a change. Surely, it would be good for the city if they started to get better? Unless they pump tens of millions into it, I don’t see how they’ll do much of note anyways.

I honestly thought they were in the same division as Crewe until doing an ACCA a few weeks ago , I think they played in the cup and thought was a league game until I checked the league positions for the bet Can't imagine getting wound up by fans of a lower league club and caring if they win or not

Job done. over the years various potential buyers have wanted to dispose of the wembley of the north and look to build a more modern and smaller stadium for them which would be excellent for them, lets face it the 365 is no masterpiece but christ vale park is dismal and has never been finished
