Coppers using batons apparently. One rule to control football supporters and another rule to control other societal mayhem it seems.

Reading the Baggies forum it seems that some Wolves fans celebrated the 2nd goal in/or next to the Birmingham Rd end

Think they've got some exec boxes running along the back of that main stand so may have been in one of them, doesn't take much for a spark to start burning in such a tense match up.

If they abandon now the result stands... Fookin hell...Mayhem outside if that happens. I would imagine the police will advise against that.

Been mentioned the FA will decide the outcome at a later stage If match abandoned. May alleviate this risk somewhat, but possibly not, sure tensions will still be high regardless

You're blaming the police for this? Grow up I think he’s saying it’s one rule for certain sections of society compared to football fans You can’t compare the 2 though? For starters this is happening in an enclosed space and far higher risk for that reason. You also have 2 separate group of fans who hate each other if it’s not dealt with robustly it could get far worse quickly.

Ideal scenario coz only 8mins left is to empty the ground & just play it behind closed doors like Blue v Stoke from 1992.

I've seen videos of supposed peaceful protesters at Palestine marches screaming in a copper's face calling him every name under the sun with absolute venom. You're telling me if that was a football fan the person in question would be allowed to walk off like the protester? Very unlikely at all.

What part do you disagree with? Read Cobham's explanation above. He puts it far better than I could. Bottom line is if the the pricks could behave themselves there would be no need for any police intervention.

Anyone remember the massive kick-off we had against Wolves around 2002 or 2003 time?
Seem to remember some Wolves fan in the home end getting thrown down some stairs and someone ripping an advertising hoarding up and chucking it at some Wolves players. Pretty sure the game never stopped even though it was going mental in the stands at several points.
