You could put a case forward for:
Waddington - greatest manager
Ritchie - record goalscorer
Skeels - record appearance holder
Matthews - greatest player
Denis - just because he's Denis
The only player I could pick from the modern era would be Shawcross because he was captain and pretty much ever-present during what now needs to be looked at as a golden period for us.
Picking four is tough, but I'd go for Waddo, Ritchie, Matthews and Smith

More to the point, where would it be situated?
There don't appear to be many suitable mountains in the Stoke-on-Trent area and I can't imagine many non-Stoke fans feeling particularly comfortable under the constant glare of Abdoulaye Faye as they fill their cars up at Wetley Rocks.
