Why would you think that? If he develops well they can still sell him to us, they'll just ask for more money. Well, let’s say he gets 5 goals this season for us (awesome!) then he’s a 22 year old Championship midfielder who can hit 10 a season from the No.8 role. Why would Wolves let him go? They’ve had him in their first team already a few times. Without an option to buy being stayed (why wouldn’t the club state it if it were in the deal (they did with Clarke etc)) then it sounds more like a development loan. This is based on RM’s comments there and on Wolves’ comments when we loaned Hoever, i.e., that the Championship is the best developmental league in the country for their talent. Yep that's how I read it.
Perfectly normal practice to report if there's an option to buy, which suggests they'll want a bidding war or to hang on to him. Possible that there's an underlying deal in place not included for some mad FFP reason?

I really don’t think there are many/any teams at this level whose 4th choice CB is significantly better than Clarke. Certainly outside of parachute clubs. I try to rectify it and make it a cheaper option at the first opportunity but that wouldn’t necessarily be an upgrade. Younger, less experienced, less tried and tested but mostly cheaper. He’s probably significantly more expensive than Taylor who I didn’t like much either but was a more appropriate 4th choice. I'd much rather we had kept Taylor who seems to be doing well at Bristol Rovers, I think he'll end up playing in the Championship again soon enough, he'd be a better asset for the club than a 34 year old who is only here to make up the numbers. I don't have anything against Clark locking the route for an personally, I'd just rather see whatever we are paying him spent on a younger prospect, we've given contracts to far too many players who were 30+ and long past their best and let the likes of Taylor and Forrester go.
Might be better for Stoke but I think both Taylor and Forrester had reached an age where fourth choice at a Championship team wasn't what they wanted. Both had been given first team opportunities and neither did enough to prove they were good enough and were getting to an age where they were too old to be playing in the youth team, were themselves just making up the numbers and would only be blocking the route for younger players. It is a fact of a footballers life that sometimes they end up playing at a lower level than they expected. Some make it back, many don't. Doesn't look like Forrester will.

Forrester who plays pretty regularly at the club second in the league below us. Why doesn’t it look like he’ll make it back to this level?

The article doesn't explain shit. "Hopefully he gets more goals going forward", what a brilliant analysis!

The article doesn't explain shit. "Hopefully he gets more goals going forward", what a brilliant analysis! Schumacher wanted Cundle because he suits his formation and style of play and Cundle wanted to be with Schumacher because he knows Schumacher wants him so Wolves recalled him and sent him to Stoke on his request by the looks of it.

Plus we're paying a bigger precentage of his wages.

Looks to me like a very good signing, adding pace and energy to the team.

One of the most important observations is that they seem to be enjoying themselves. This team will get fitter.

I don’t get this one, more than enough quality players in midfield.

One of the most important observations is that they seem to be enjoying themselves. This team will get fitter. I agree, he seems like one of the lads. Only concern is he loses authority. Which is a wild statement as I don’t know how he is, but he doesn’t strike me as he takes any shit. I feel like the big difference now is it’s ’us’ not ‘managers/ staff & players’ can’t imagine AN getting involved with the penalty shootout and having a laugh at the end.

As shit as we’ve been for years, our social media content output has been brilliant the past 12 months it has to be said.
Love the training videos.

A striker and a pacy winger who can cross. Possibly swap mcnally for a more appropriate centre half (good in the air and good with his feet). If the forward line starts scoring, not so critical about the left back. Try to offload Laurent and Gayle, possibly Johnson. McNally is decent, first choice if fit, and we would be mad to not keep him for the rest of the season. - Stopped reading after this. McNally is incredibly over rated. I am extremely unimpressed by him.
