Mmaee was decent enough I thought. Vidigal was very poor. His one move is cutting in onto his right foot and shooting. Looks like he hasn't got a clue what to do when on the right wing, other than knock it forwards and try to outpace the full back (he isn't that quick, so it rarely succeeds.) I guess that's what you get for £500k. Yeah - he has the playing style of somebody with real pace, but is average at best. Should be far quicker than he is with his build.

He was outstanding as a defensive press today without wasting his energy, he understood which passing lanes to block and did it well. We won the ball up high because of his work. Similarly I'd be surprised if Schumacher wants him any wider than the box as we need to get more people into it and not less. He did it well and the last few games has shown how much better he is than Wesley and Gayle at holding the ball up, low bar, but Mmaee is actually getting really good at it. The width needed to come from Vidigal and Junho. Vidigal was a good team player today, but didn't offer much going forward, whilst Junho really isn't suited to playing wide. Schumacher wants more vertical narrower passing so you'll probably see Mmaee move LESS and that will be good movement for the formation. I thought vidigal and Junho both hit brick walls in former players, in Axel and Clarke who were far superior. Ryan did ok today I disagree. I thought JunHo terrorised Tuanzebe in the first half. When they swapped wings Tuanzebe could have got his pipe and slippers out with Vidigal and Clarke coped better as JunHo tired. I thought Mmaee did much much better until the sending off when he once again became totally isolated and the 'arm throwing strop can't be arsed to run' Mmaee re emerged.

I’ve backed him quite vocally but not his best game today.
He wasnt pressing with the team, didn’t win a lot in the air and wasn’t really showing.
Having staid that his volley was about the only real chance of the game (for either side) and about the only person who could have got that type of shot away. And we were just twatting it at him from a million miles away most of the time and expecting miracles.
