🤣I mean Mmaee’s played in European competitions but ok. Maybe I’m wrong and he’s on the radar of a couple of Premier League teams. But I think that’s unlikely. Definitely has ability but jury is out on if he has the levels of focus and discipline to reach the highest level. He will do. He’s a big improvement on what came before.

This sums up how embarrassing Stoke fans can be at times. Stoke fans wouldn’t know a good footballer if one smacked them in the face. Both are very good footballers. Agree, and at least one of the two will now play for the manager, unlike before when Neil upset half the dressing room.

It must be so liberating for them.

It must be so liberating for them. Both are more than decent enough what they needed was to be encouraged not told to defend all the time... They are forward thinking players who were nullified by the last manager now they know they have to defend but encouraged to be brave and positive... Both will grow in stature imho

Both will grow in stature imho I just hope he doesn’t shit his pants. We’ve had a few false dawns with this sort of thing though and then the manager has crapped himself and gone defensive. And there’s been absolutely no need to. It seems to be Schumacher’s whole philosophy so hopefully he has the balls to stick with it.

Without reading the thread I thought both were excellent yesterday and it was refreshing to see them play with the shackles off. We know Vidigals finishing is, at best, inconsistent but his goal yesterday was probably our best this season for me. Mmaee showed he’s a good forward but not a goal scorer. The trouble is how do we shoehorn a natural finisher into the side with the formation Schumacher likes to play. Bit of a conundrum there.

I don't think he will and yes we will have some shit games, all teams do but in all his interviews he has said he and his staff are consistant in there message, and that's all footballers want, sure it won't work sometimes but reset and go again not change every week like Neil seemed to do, he's been here a week and there were obvious pattens of play yesterday... We haven't had that all season

Like I said on another post, just want him to tell the truth or say nothing publicly, he can put his arms around him and give him a kiss,I couldn't care less but if it goes tits up then he's got to then explain to the fans why he got it wrong about the player, let's all not get to carried away,I agree he played better not brilliant as some say but he needs to do this more often then maybe he can convince some of us, Sometimes it helps if the manager is positive about players in public other times it isn't, that's the art of man management What can say is Mmaee just put in a very good performance on the back of the managers words Ye I bet he gets the sentinel delivered

Goal aside, still not overly sure on Vidigal. He's a winger that scores goals and does nothing else. I honestly can't remember a single good chance he's created. His crossing is appalling. It's a huge part of why Mmaee is the creator and not the scorer IMO. Vidigal’s cross led to our first goal yesterday. Don't forget Hoever dummy 😂

Ryan’s flick for Goochy’s goal was top drawer I think he meant the knock to Gooch for his shot that was cleared off the line just prior to Thompson goal too. EDIT:from the above post it seems it might have been Hoover. Think it might have been intentional whoever.

...need to be sent out on loan to a Division One club to learn the basics of English football. Lightweight is an understatement. As for Leris, Division Two maybe? Mmaee is hopeless. Vidigal has potential They were both a bit better last night but they're both mard as fuck.

Mmaee reminds me of Bony when he was good. Thinking the same thing. He just needs people around him and he can score. Definitely finding his way.

I thought Mmae was very good today.
Vidigal I'm still undecided on. He seems like he could be a real joy and you can't give too much stick to a top scorer but he drifts or gets bullied out of games too much.

Both are technically so much better than we've had signed for us before since we've been relegated. Just need time and the right support.
Vidigal will be better if we can get him a couple of yards closer to Mmaee.

Thought Vidigal worked his boots off today.
He’ll get goals once the service improves. There was a few times today where the final ball let us down.

I felt that Vidigal benefited from having Junior behind him in the first half. We had some power and skill on the right. Game shifted when Junior got knackered and came off. Thompson played fine as a left back, but he’s not going to support the attack going forward that well and it showed each time Vidigal got over to the left.

He’s a brilliant finisher. Campbell levels of good. I said the same about this finishing. On the other hand though same with Campbell can be frustrating because it’s seems like there’s more in the tank but just can’t be arsed to use it. Vidigal is weak as piss.

This sums up how embarrassing Stoke fans can be at times. Stoke fans wouldn’t know a good footballer if one smacked them in the face. Both are very good footballers. It always amuses me (sardonically) to remember how there was a good number of posters on here who used to slag off Shaqiri for being lazy, Bojan for being lightweight, Arnie for not tracking back, Walters for being unskillful, Whelan for being unable to pass a ball, Crouch for being slow, Nzonzi for being uncommitted, Bardsley for being a plodder…….. . They said it so often these features became fake truisms. Just to type those names now brings me out in goose pimples.

The pair of them are really improving, always liked Mmaee. One really minor criticism, they always look to feed each other, sometimes when there is a better option. Pleased with/for the pair of them.
