I really hope he is the right man because the past six/seven years have been pretty dire.. I hear he's a decent guy which is always a positive after some of the narcissistic tools we've employed as Managers and Sporting Director! He's also in the fortunate position of having a great mentor in Jonny Walters.. the shift in attitude since his appointment has been palpable. I guess he had to plug a couple of obvious holes in January but I don't think Ennis will ever be a quality striker.. Cundle has potential IMHO. So while I still have reservations and despite the fact that he was Tricky's recommendation, we can't keep changing on a whim.. There's enough informed people saying good things about Shuey to warrant an extended run at the job.. he's surrounded by good people.. has totally invested owners and a fantastic fanbase.. what could possibly go wrong!!? Not altogether convinced by him. Went from being really happy, after the opening games, to dispondent in the subsequent games. Clawing back my faith gradually. Has to be given the chance next season, hopefully with a decent forward recruited Yeah he's not the man to take us forward for me but bar a disastrous final two games the board will stick with him. I just can't see how or why this isn't going to end the same way it has done the previous few years. We did really well yesterday and under every manager we've had over this horrible period of 6 or 7 years, they've given us a few good games which gives the fans hope. I've seen nothing to suggest Schumacher is different to the other guys but clearly, very keen to be proven wrong. Got to agree with this to be honest. Can’t quite grasp what it is that’s happened since we brought him in that has people believing he’s the guy who will turn this ship around. Our results over half a season with him in charge are not really better than the previous manager, whom we sacked. Granted, it wasn’t an easy task when he came in but I wouldn’t say he’s been a success, unless your bar is not making us much worse and getting us relegated. There are some chinks of light, the main one being a slight upturn in home form and the fact that we seem now to be able to come back from behind. For many many years we seemed to be beaten if we concede first, or go behind at any stage. Not really enough games where it’s happened to say he’s turned a corner but definitely encouraging. Like you, hoping to be proven wrong. Really hope we stick with our recruitment policy of looking further afield. Of the players we’ve brought in, Junho, Burger and Manhoef look like the best 3 at the club. Mmae may still come good and has bags of ability. I would take a few mistakes here and there over ‘tested’ players like Laurent and Ennis. God forbid we go back to buying the managers ex players - hope we don’t see any ex Plymouth here over the summer - unless we could snag Whittaker, which I highly doubt.

He's basically been firefighting since he came here, trying to rescue the disaster that was Alex Neil and his chronies. Nobody can name one viable manager who would have done better. Let's give him a chance. He will get a chance. He will have an entire summer and the first half of next season as those before him did. We will know by the end of September/early October if he's going to make the cut mind.

His record this season hasn’t really given him breathing space, he’s done ok but nothing more

I think you will find the happy clappers are fickle. Now, another post you you mention you said we should appoint Pulis. They way we are playing now is light years more attractive to watch than in Pulis' first spell. I'm TP's biggest fan by the way. We have now some very promising young players in our squad. The atmosphere was as good as it gets on Saturday with a big crowd Give your head a wobble Nope I said we should appoint a manager with the same grit and determination that pulis had. The same DNA that SJW has brought to the table. On another note, 1 game doesn’t define a season

Aaah ain’t that sweet You missed me? I don’t live on here you know I do have a life It seems I’m living in your head rent free Quite touching Yeah and of course you wouldn’t have been on here five minutes after kick off if we lost. Spouting your bile. Predictable. I apologise for not posting fast enough for you. Unfortunately after the game I was out with friends and family. I’m not going to stop what I’m doing because you seem to have a crush on me and tend to worry about me. I am sorry to inform you but I’m married and I don’t drop anchor into poo bay. On another note, you seem to take offence to the fact my opinions differ from yours. Unfortunately I couldn’t give a toss and no fucks given.

I honestly believe that Schu is the right manager who will take this club forward. He will now know who he wants to keep & who he needs to bring in for next season. I think he knows it will take time to get us challenging for promotion. So hopefully the club will give him time to achieve this. it’s the fans that need to give him time

Nearly as predictable as your inability to post anything positive about the manager. “Drop anchor into poo bay”….hard to believe you’re married when you post like a 12 year old.

His record this season hasn’t really given him breathing space, he’s done ok but nothing more The problem is that we have gotten ourselves stuck in a cycle of sacking managers and having unsuccessful summer rebuilds. We are averaging nearly a manager for every season we have played in this division since relegation. At some point, we need continuity and consistency. I do not think that it is a coincidence that our most promising spell in the last six years came under MON when he was given tike and provided us with some stability.

I think we have seen enough to see what he brings to the table next season, after a summer of restructure. Nobody knows what went on behind the scenes really, with so many rumours flying around. Clearly something did, but since Walters arrived, things have been stabilised. I imagine there will be a fair turnover of the playing staff again, to mould the squad and equip the squad, for his style of play. I think a few on here would change their views if they knew what went on. Do you think it'll ever come out or will we have to wait for an autobiography from someone involved?
