I haven’t got a problem with us thinking big, I just haven’t a clue if it’s realistic. Potter will be well aware he ain’t getting a top Premier League job on anything like his Chelsea salary but would certainly walk into a bottom half club at that level. Time will tell.

Having ridiculed all those who suggested that Potter was even remotely a possibility I massively hope this is true & it comes off

one poster, not without reason, stated we shouldn't appoint former players but he played for us nearly 30 years ago, I think the concern re ex players don't apply here

others have pointed out the lack of gaols at Brighton but imo that does not tell the story, they made oodles of chances , up to that point Potter was easily Brighton's most successful top flight manager (fair play to De Zerbi for adding those goals)

If we land Potter its nothing other than sensational

Look, I think whilst at this stage it seems unthinkable, I don't think we should be afraid to believe that this could actually happen if everything falls into place.

Graham wanted this job before.
He has played at Stoke before, and will know Uncle Peter.
Graham is a very rich man already.
He will have been burnt by the Chelsea experience. He'll want a fan base who'll show him love and he'd get that in dollopfuls here.
Coates should give him as much as he needs to turn this around.
The players will play out of their skins for him.

Not sure I like that, sounds like he wants to take a load of hangers on everywhere. That’s something we really need to move away from.
