He was excellent today. Faultless.
Well done Jack and well done the original poster.

He didn’t do anything out of the ordinary and he didn’t drop any bollocks. Happy days. We protected him very well. Long May it continue. Looks like he might have picked up a knock towards the end. Emergency loan incoming?? I will take that from a keeper any day when you consider some of the gaffs we’ve seen since relegation.

Totally agree with this thread, we should get behind Jack . He deserves our support. Travers was our first team keeper on top money , 20 k a week ( at Stoke! ) Other players on top money, include Lewis baker ( about 20 k a week) and Dwight Gayle ( about 20 k a week) All 3 are supposedly our top first team players,on top money. Bonham is back up , on about 4 k a week . Jordan Thompson is back up on about 4 and half k a week. My point is...if you want to have a moan about the likes of 20 k a week Baker or Gayle , then moan away . But don't start moaning about back up players , like Bonham and JT , who come in when needed, and do a job for a FRACTION of the wages of our supposed first team big hitters ( Travers , Baker , Gayle) I think given the massive difference in wages between Travers and Bonham, Baker and JT , both Bonham and JT should be respected for coming in and doing the job they do , for the money they do when required. I think its a shame that some good honest players have to make do with such a payment pittance!

100% correct, but never going to happen It’s the decent thing to do after 24 hours of pure bile. Disgusting behaviour. It beggars belief that someone who claims to be a 'supporter' comes on here to constantly snipe and slag off our own players. He must have had a semi on every time they got near our goal. Sad, but true.

Well done Jack.
A solid performance today.
I agree that over the course of a season, I wouldn't want him as our number one, but he's had a decent game today. He'll be in nets until at least January - get behind him.

Absolutely delighted today for Jack!
He might not be one of the better Championship keepers (more Ronnie Sinclair than Asmir Begovic) but he is the keeper we have until, at least, January.
If we had lost (whether he was at fault or not) there would have been an awful lot of sackcloth and ashes on here, so a win and a clean sheet is just what the doctor ordered to reduce the pressure on him and the defence.

Has Jack Bonham ever conceded a goal as bad as the Boro keeper did for our first goal?

Has Jack Bonham ever conceded a goal as bad as the Boro keeper did for our first goal? Reading last season? I'm really glad he's played well today but I'm still concerned about the GK position

Did anyone else notice a huge 6 foot 8 black guy with keepers gloves on in the warm up, and it wasn't Blondie as he had a shaven head 🤔

The anti-Bonham feeding frenzy yesterday was way over the top and frankly pretty unpleasant.
Someone in all seriousness told me on the other thread yesterday that having to play Bonham for 13 games was a bigger blow than Bojan doing his ACL in 2014.
Hopefully his good form from today continues into Cardiff, but even if he has a poor game he’s shown today that he’s a long way from the no-hoper many have painted him as.

We all know that Jack Bonham isn’t the greatest keeper in the world & he knows that himself. He signed a new contract in the summer in the knowledge that he would be the No2 keeper this season and therefore his role would be a back up role when called upon. With Mark Travers back at Bournemouth until January, Jack will be our keeper until then and we need to support him 100%..He’s our keeper, he plays for Stoke City FC and it’s our job to back him to the absolute hilt. That’s the very least the lad deserves. I thought he was excellent today, made a great save, his distribution was superb & he stood up to be counted. Well done Jack Bonham…..Bonham! Bonham! Bonham!

Bonham was excellent and so too were Johnson and Laurent That's true. When everyone in the team works hard and presses together then the general performance is good for everyone.

Well he’s got one end of. So will you support him or hope he falls on his face. As a proper Stoke fan, I will be supporting him. Still waiting Bayern. Will you be supporting the Stoke City goalkeeper today and hoping he does well and contributes to a decent result, OR will you want him and the team to fail? Fabulous result for our team. Bayern is quiet (long May it last) it’s all gone quiet over there..,,,,,So funny!! In all seriousness, I as well as many, didn’t want to have Jack in goal today. And I have the complete humility to say well done Jack, I was wrong. Bayern however remains a twat.

Bit off that there are still people saying “well we’re stuck with him January”.
If he plays like he did Saturday, I’m happy to be stuck with him until January, and beyond.
It’s not unknown for situations like this to be the making of a player.

Emergency loan incoming?? Really good save at his near post second half Exactly the sort of save we were told he couldn't make The save first half was better. The expectation of him is so low that if he does anything that doesn’t involve dropping a bollock, he’s lauded as man of the match.

Well done to the bloke for stepping in and putting in a bog-standard 6/10 performance. But of course on here he’s Buffon and Schmeichel rolled into one because tribalism. Signing one, if not two, Championship-standard goalkeepers quite obviously remains an urgent priority

People are talking about January “and beyond”. It’s absolutely not his fault and I fully support him while he has to fill in. Yesterday he made a couple of good saves, dealt with what he had to and flapped a couple of times. 6/10

Bonzo is worthy of praise. He didn't find out he'd playing until late in the week. Also, he knew he wasn't the first choice and would've known he wasn't super popular amongst support. Despite this, he played a big part in an important away win.

The support Jack had from the get go was top class
I'm sure he really appreciated it and I'm sure it helped his confidence knowing the travelling masses had his back, he even applauded us at half time when going off. Was great to see
