Johnson is left footed and it’s that reason alone he’s in the side Although thinking about it so is Burger so wtf do I know 😊 It’s a shit foot though. Are we sure he’s not right footed?

Their goal was a result of a terrible pass by Rose and also a bit of poor goalkeeping by Travers who pushed the ball out straight into the path of Clarke. Travers made a virtually point blank save, he was entitled to push it out and expect some cover Should have held it for me

How on earth is it possible that Neil can't see that Junior is a better fullback than Hoever!? I think it's a case of who will cause less of a problem being told they won't play. When negotiating the loan Hoever / Wolves were clearly told he'd play if fit. I want us to field the strongest team, and we really should too!

Couldn’t believe it when I read the team sheet at 2 and saw he’d dropped Junior. That said, I thought Hoever did very well today against a quality winger in Clarke. He did and he always carries a threat Junior at RB with Hoever in front might work well Hoever is an attacking FB not an attacker or even a WB. If the manager wants a more defensive FB don’t play Hoever but he obviously doesn’t.

How on earth is it possible that Neil can't see that Junior is a better fullback than Hoever!? Because he isn’t. He’s a more defensive FB not a better FB. He’s a lot more physical than Hoever but his technique and final ball is nowhere near as good at this moment.

Hoever is very good at what Hoever does, whether you like it or not is a matter of taste/opinion.

Over the season both will play a lot of games, houver better going forward and more experienced. Expect Junior to play more away games and become established by end of season.

Disagree about Johnson. He made a couple of mistakes in the defensive area but I thought his quick passing forward to the front players was excellent first half today giving the sort of creativity we miss with Laurent there and second half he led the press really well. I had him close to player of the match. It’s amazing isn’t it how people see games differently? I thought Johnson was useless today. 5 or 6 horrific set pieces, looked laboured, gave the ball away, didn’t really seem to know what he was doing. He should have been hooked at half time. I’ve seen nothing from him yet to be convinced he’s even a mediocre player. Yep his set pieces were woeful. I even said when Mcnally scored from the first decent one that it had been a deliberate ploy in the first half to convince Sunderland that our corners were all going to go knee high to the front post then we'd hit them with a lofted one to the far post first one in the second half. Worked a treat! 😂😂 I do think Johnson is the best player we have at playing a quick, straight, forward pass which works well with Vidigal and Mmaee.

What did Hoever do wrong today? I have yet to see Junior in the flesh having been on holiday for the Southampton game but it's difficult to see how he would have been better today and Hoever is the man in possession of the shirt at the moment. Possibly could have come on when Hoever started to cramp up towards the end but I'm a great believer in not changing your defence when protecting a lead. Junior is definitely the better defender by some distance Once you've seen him you will agree Hoever didn't do too bad yesterday against one of the division better players He's a good footballer, he could play in midfield imho Yes it's a pity two of our better players seem to be competing for one position. I did wonder if we could play one further forward as the right sided attacker but I thought Leris did well yesterday. I also thought Stevens did what Neil said he would and added a calm head to our defence. It's a lovely conundrum to have though.

Great result but surely a blind man can see this two should be in for Johnson and Hoever. "Vis Unita Fortior" Said exactly the same after the game. Surely this has to be given the green light soon.

Travers wasn’t great today, but he was excellent at Leicester and is absolutely a huge upgrade on the other utterly hopeless keepers we’ve had over the last few years. I don’t think he’s better than Sarkic bar he can stay fit. He’s ok but he’s shit on crosses. He just doesn’t come for them and when he does he’s awful on them. Travers in goal is more effective than Sarkic on the physio table.

Goo h counter attack was so bad it was almost comical , we crewed our fir players that could run with the ball and left two on the bench while manning the alarmo barricades m I know it worked but we could hardly have complained at a late equaliser as we face up on clinching the game with 20 mins left

Must admit I was shit scared every time Clarke got the ball because I knew Hoever would struggle. Clarke has developed into a very good player at this level. Junior may well have struggled too and could easily envisage him giving a peno away with his preference for a tackle. Clarke has that ability of nicking the ball away at the last second and drawing fouls a bit like Grealish.

It’s worth a look certainly. Long term surely young Junho is the answer as an attacking midfielder? Johnson has been poor so far. Although our second came from a corner, his set pieces have been generally dismal. More than happy if Junho plays there Haksabanovic or Junho, either is fine by me Bayern said DJ was diabolical, can't agree with that but he's clearly not going to score or make many goals Thompson, Gooch, DJ all handy bench players If the rumour re Laurent and Italian club was true wish we had sold him and signed Onahma instead Perhaps Laurent could be moved on in January? Then there is Baker will he play for Stoke again? Baker is the ideal replacement at times ...Makes no sense

Must admit I was shit scared every time Clarke got the ball because I knew Hoever would struggle. Well I’ve seen Clarke vs Hoever in 2 games and Clarke has had him on toast in both games and we won both. I certainly thought it might have been wise to swap Hoever for Junior when we were 2-1 up later on yesterday as Hoever was struggling physically on top of Clarke having the drop on him anyway but then he went and made a saving challenge against him deep in our box, 1 on 1 it’s extremely rare for Hoever to get the better of him but then he is an excellent player, few better in this league.

Burger Pearson Johnson Thompson Baker Larent Alex is mad.
