Lowe looks good but it’s a single goal - I wouldn’t be starting him. Protect him from the full expectation and pressure of leading the line and continue to introduce him as a sub. I’d actually look to use Gayle. Cue the ‘are you stupid etc etc’ comments - but over a long career his record is the best at the club and he is only 32 - very short of confidence

Theres more chance he will block a shot going in than score himself. Waste of a place on the bench nevermind a start.................

Hes not div 1 now mate...But as you say WAS class..... He’s 32, so I’m not sure he’s what I’d call past it, especially at this level. Definitely had his day in the Premier League. Put it this way, for me, he’s the best chance of getting goals out of a striker in a team that creates chances. It’s fair to say we’ve not been a side where strikers have really fared well over the last few season. Now that we have some more attacking players he’s the sort of player I think will do well. Certainly someone I’d turn to before I expect or hope an 18 year old is the solution. I think Lowe should get minutes, but off the bench for now.

His age is irrelevant when he's not very good. He’s got more goals in this division than the rest of our squad combined - so ‘he’s not very good’ doesn’t really make much sense, particularly if you agree that at 33, his age is irrelevant.

What are you banging on about. He scored 3 goals last year and missed some absolute howlers. He’s not very good anymore. Fact.

For continuity, to be a goal threat, and to prove no one is undroppable please pick this side AN.

Having Vidigal back in the squad is a massive boost.
I think we can beat these.

If Videgal is fit would play him instead of Leris otherwise yes 100% agree If he plays Jonson instead of Bae won't get too upset even though it's the wrong decision! Laurent actually improved from 1/10 v Hull to maybe a 5/10 v Bristol City, he should not be starting

He mentions "freshening it up" in both this and the press conference - but acknowledges he hasn't got many options.
Says it'd be "a big ask" for any of the injured players to return tomorrow. So maybe unlikely for Vidigal, although he's never forthcoming with injury stuff.

As long as he’s willing to pull the trigger wrt subs then I think whoever he picks should be capable. Sead, Ho, Wes, DJ, all capable players.

Would be nice to get a few of the injured players back, realistically it's going to be after the international break, Laurant needs a rest, maybe for, shall we say another 36 games?..
