Yes we are riddled with injuries but they’re all about the same quality in my opinion. Only Vidigal has shown to be a real miss.
The issue still lies in the fact we can’t create any chances, for all the huff and puff, we lack any creativity in midfield.
I’m not sure what it takes to drop Laurent because he’s been awful this season as he was for the majority of last season. I don’t think Pearson has been particularly good either.

Southampton, 27 games without a clean sheet, then we turn up.

I actually saw this game. It wasn't a good one from our side, even though a draw would have been fair. Bae is my favourite player. I have found it very hard to choose a favourite player for about 4 seasons now. Souttar was by far the best we have had, but now... can't say anyone stands out. Maybe junior. Everyone else isn't doing enough, and it shows in where we are in the league. They are playing like bottom championship players, which is exactly where we find ourselves. Was this really what the talent scouts had in mind? Where the hell did they see the creativity, the defensive solidity, and the goals suddenly appear from? We are such an odd bunch of smashed together in a panic .... I can't see how anyone thought this would work. I don't even see the foundations at all.

Did someone say SWP not registered in the squad?

It was turgid, paint-by-numbers, dross.
"We played well" - do me a favour. One shot on target, in injury time, from 20 yards. Against a team with an appalling defensive record.
With better Southampton finishing, we could have been well beaten.

Still a work in progress and the right permutations have not yet been achieved through injury, suspension poor refereeing or fitness with the 18 new signings. I always thought we would be very inconsistent until end of October at the earliest before pushing on. Not the time to speculate on manager just let him get on with it as he's been the most honest manager since Pulis and has the nous to improve us given time. Supporters just impatient and want it now like little spoilt kids - its not going to happen overnight - get over it and wait. From a long term Season ticket holder who has seen it all before Why is it always a "work in progress" for Stoke? How many games in are they now ? Other teams in the division seem to gel pretty quickly. It's not spoilt kids, it's poor management.

Frustrating to be in a continual work in progress, Ipswich don't have that problem, I guess we are just shit, something not right somewhere. I expect to lose to Leicester, so that means we'll probably win, start to feel good about the next game only to lose that, think we've been here before. The 'joys' of being a Stoke supporter )

Be surprised if Southampton finish in top 6 let alone go up. Not sure why Russell Martin is held in high regard.

Having watched the highlights I say, I would have been very disappointed if the ref gave a free kick for the slightest of tugs on the shorts and even more disappointed if we didn't get a penalty. Overall I think it was quite an even match!

That’s the worry really they will really struggle to cope with the physical trams in this league away from home as they did at Boro we’ve missed another opportunity they like huddersfield were absolutely there for the taking

Did someone say SWP not registered in the squad? Correct. Plenty of spare weekends now with his dad, John.

Southampton were fitter, stronger, quicker and better organised than us and could have won by more goals with better finishing.

We were crap. Some reasonable possession and a bit of fight… but did we honestly create the chance saints did? Travers made several decent stops. They missed several good chances. For all our huff and puff we created one solid chance when Lowe miscontroled 1st half.
As I’ve already said- the lack of quality without vidigal in forward areas is embarrassing.
That said- we’ve got to give it a go with vidigal mmee and junho and maybe Campbell in the same xi. Just fucking go for it. Those 4 with Pearson and burger begin them, junior and hoever as fullbacks and just have a right ducking go. Nowt lose. We look like relegation fodder at present.
