Groaning when its 0-0 and a defender passes a square ball in the first 5 minutes of a game against Cov at home. Second half Hoever carries the ball out doesn't play it back or square despite there being options to, gets his pocket pinched and they score, get rightfully groaned at. Ones a valid reason to have a but of a moan one isn't, can't play forwards all the time. That being said players should have more about them and not shrink within themselves at a few drongos who pay there money to come down and moan about everything that happens. Booing aint helped these players, and we don't really know if getting behind them does either because the atmosphere has been toss for longer than we've been poor, the atmosphere in the last 3 prem years was poor outside of when we played the big boys. This is a good point a lot fail to realise, it's the nature of the beast of being in the Prem so long, it happens to every club. It's almost like you get comfy once that underdog mentality is no longer viable and you become established. Which makes people who try to blame our current plight on the fans even sillier in my opinion. I can't believe I'm saying it but we're the underdog in the championship now, and my only gripe with fans currently is how entitled a lot of them have become, we are not owed anything. I would say there's a decent correlation between the decline of atmosphere and results at home.

Problem is the 'underdog' mentality we had in the crowd was only a moment in time between 2008 and 2011, it was never gonna last forever. As some people have pointed out before, one of our home games before promotion (Palace) only had a 15k crowd.
Like yeah sure everyone will be up for Boro tomorrow, but one thing goes wrong and it disappears.

I'm not sure but Ive never been to a game where booing has improved the performance. I’ve been to loads of games over the years and Fans have cheered to the rafters- 9 times out of 10 Stoke lost. How did that happen?

Blaming the fans and not the players/tactics for poor performances is imo crazy. If the team rely on us to get them up for a game then they are the problem, not us.

Funnily enough our away form has been better than our home form where it’s generally viewed as being a louder and better atmosphere from the away support 🤷♂️ Maybe they don’t/ didn’t feel under as much pressure and had better support when playing away.

The atmosphere was shit before the Premier League, shit for half our time in the Premier League and shit after the Premier League.
It wasn't particularly great for the most part in the The Vic either. Nostalgia is a powerful drug.
We have about 3 songs. I'm sure i will get hate for this as well but personally i think Delilah is awful, it just sounds shit.
We are no different from pretty much every club in English football.
Also if the players rely on fans to motivate them to put in a winning performance then they're a bunch of weak minded losers who are very lucky to be in the position they are in.
