I had a quick look and couldn’t see a thread for him.
I personally think he deserves one as he’s been an absolute revelation (along with AN+RM)
Whilst we’re not sure how good and effective the recruitment has been, and time will tell. I think most of us can agree we are now going in the direction we all thought we should have been years ago.
In the player interviews you can tell he’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the job he’s doing and has been on the trails of players we’ve never even heard of for years.
Some of the players we’ve been linked with and the creativity behind ‘getting deals done’ (I’m looking at Wesley specifically) has been really refreshing, long may it continue.

We’ll see how it pans out but so far I’m impressed. Mainly by his articulation around new signings.
As massive footy manager/ championship manager geek I feel like he’s got the job I would have got had I been any good at it and not cheated.

Clearly shaking things up and if we get a couple more Vidigal’s then Dublin will be heralded by fans. A little early to get too complimentary

The smooth-talking, slippery, American fuck.
Welcome to the club son.
The summer recruitment has breathed new life into the fanbase. It may work out, it may not but I'm feeling positive. We couldn't have continued on the path we were on much longer.

He's done amazing to get so many players in, along with the Manager.... but time will tell if they are any good.
What is refreshing is the approach. Seem now to be fishing in a far far bigger pond.

Good luck to him and his team.
There's gonna be some hits and some misses, but if they can get as many right as Brighton and Brentford then it xoyld be good times ahead.

What’s struck me is just how long he’s been following players which leads into how much he knows about them. Hopefully that translates into mostly solid signings.

What a job, going all over the world watching footballers that may improve your team. Getting them over the line must be a real sense of smug achievement

The model is something like Bet365 would operate in their industry. It's staggering it took them so long to put into place but delighted they now have.
I always want us to keep our best players but if we find some diamonds we've got the get the best price for them when clubs come knocking and re-invest.

Would be like Feltz joing Legs & Co to break the mould with Pritchard .

It's the attention to detail that impresses me most. The player's character, their motivation and their grasp of English all play a part.

He's doing my dream job as my favourite bit of FM is finding the gems before anyone else gets them. He's actually got that job but in real life the jammy git. He seems to be doing a great job to be fair so hats off to him.

Let's wait until the signings prove to be decent before we start thinking he's the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Vidigal looks to be a really good signing but we can't judge his record yet, the others could all turn out to be duds.

Comes across as a bit of a snake oil salesman, but he's certainly made great strides in these last few weeks. Only time will tell how things turn out.

Oh absolutely they could, but whatever happens at least we are not fishing in the same old tried and tested pools, with ever diminishing returns. Its refreshing to see that the whole club has been transformed and has a business plan. Everyone seems well versed and it's all coordinated. This isn't just about Dublin, its the whole management structure of the club, and a real team effort. It's nice to have so many professional people running the operation. It seems that lessons may have been learned, and JC realizes that it needed more than just a money man to run a professional football club. I am not sure the expectation is that every signing will work out, but if you don't take the risk you won't get any reward.

Let's be honest, literally anybody with a copy of FM23 could identify a bunch of players from random places and tell the manager to sign them. The time to judge whether he's been a revelation will be in a few months time when we see whether these signings are actually any good. That's what will separate him from some randomer setting the player filter to 'Korea' and going for the bloke with the highest rating.

His knowledge of European football is other worldly.
When trying to explain our shiny new recruitment strategy, to my Everton supporting mate, I said something like:
"Its like our recruitment team took a load of acid and then played football manager for a week"

No one has said that to be fair Hackers but can understand the excitement at a new approach and new look team. It could also go horribly wrong, yes and not all the signings will work out of course. That never happens at any club. SAF signed some utter duds for example

Even if all these new signings fail, (and they won't), the losses would be insignificant compared to the money that was squandered on the likes of Vokes, Afobe, McLean, Etebo, and a host of other expensive rubbish.

He had a good record at Sheffield United, so fingers-crossed that continues. I think it'll be success even if only 1 in 3 signing is succesful.
