Not being funny guys but the shite that's posted on here,particularly on the 'Burger and Stoke Squad 23-24' threads is now getting tiresome and boring. I don't know how others are feeling but I'm finding incredibly frustrating with having to trawl through loads of crap, which quite frankly isn't funny or informative. Maybe I'm being miserable or have lost my sense of humour but I just don't get it! The Oatcake used to be so much better and it seems to be rapidly going downhill in recent weeks.
Admin, please feel free to remove this thread but I think your time would be better spent by removing the pointless posts in the threads that I'm referring to. Rant over but I feel that many others are becoming increasingly pissed off with the nonsense.

I've been waiting to sign up for a while but registration has been closed until today...which made looking at the Burger thread and the transfer thread a nightmare because when viewing a thread as a guest it doesn't let you carry on from the last page you looked at.
The Burger thread especially is a shitshow with the amount of crap people have wrote on there thinking they're funny

Pun responses are OK if appropriate to the topic in question for a page or two on a thread, but when a week or so's gone by & the same lines and words are being used it becomes a bit tiresome 🤭😴 .
Especially as its someone we are only loosely linked to, dread to think how bad it'll be if we actually signed the guy!

Whilst I agree with the tiresome comments and I'm not a fan of it myself especially as a proper conversation about said player seems pretty impossible to have, isn't it just easier not to open the thread as it's very likely that if any transfer development happens then FullerMagic will more than likely edit the title as appropriate anyway.
I suppose ultimately it's a forum which allows people to post what they like providing not causing any offence and personal opinions will always be split. If every thread turned into same manner then that's a different matter.

Why not introduce a ‘Junior Oatcake’ a bit similar to John Craven’s Newsround where those of tender years and/or unsound mind can offer their immature thoughts and ideas to the likeminded?
This would then leave the main or let’s say, adult board, to those who wish to make constructive contributions to all things Stoke City and football in general.

Which is just beyond ridiculous now.
People may not give credence to the ITKs, but MC put a post on that thread yesterday, seemingly stating the transfer was close, but I’m sure a lot of people missed it due to the never ending ‘jokes’.

Nothing has happened to the Oatcake. It's always been an eclectic mix of people that find different things funny or tiresome or whatever. Yes the Burger thread has got a bit out of hand but delete that thread and you're back to normal. The transfer thread goes in waves of a hive of information and good posts to people making crap jokes when it quietens down a bit. That's going to be the norm on a huge thread like that.
