😂😂 1 season of PL football. Liverpool have been so stupid in waiting till now to get serious about a DM. They have been desperate for a long term option there for a while.

Absolute insanity - never want to hear Klopp getting the violins out about how they can’t compete financially with Man City and Newcastle again.

Can’t really say I’ve seen much of Caicedo but is he really worth 110m? Think I’d rather put up the money for Palhinha instead.

Remember they hav signed McCallister from Brighton too this summer. So Brighton hav had over £150m from them for two players

Still only 21 and already one of the best in the league in his position, could easily be at Liverpool for the next 7+ years and be one of the best in the world in that time, proper statement signing

It's a huge test of their recruitment team now. It's one thing going through the process once and finding these gems, selling them on for a huge profit but it's another thing entirely in trying to replace them a second time around.
This is where most teams come unstuck at PL level and it's fair to say that when this happened to Southampton it was the beginning of the end. They lost a number of players to the big 6 over a 12-18 month period and never recovered.
I'll watch with great interest.

This gets even funnier when you realise Chelsea have been trying to unsettle him all summer and fuck Brighton around.

Crazy money for someone that’s had one good season. He’s not a world-beater currently but has the potential to be. It’s essentially a £111m gamble that he fulfils that potential. Problem is most players don’t. If you look at a list of the most expensive transfers to English clubs in the last five years there are very few that have really justified the fee paid.

Why did Klopp laugh and say there's no way Liverpool could afford Bellingham.
Yet they are signing this more expensive player?

Why did Klopp laugh and say there's no way Liverpool could afford Bellingham. Yet they are signing this more expensive player? Yeah it does seem weird but id imagine wages and agents fees are probably substantially less. Also, if they knew they were getting fees for Fabinho and Henderson they may have even taken the jump going for Bellingham.

Why did Klopp laugh and say there's no way Liverpool could afford Bellingham. Yet they are signing this more expensive player? I am assuming because when he said that, Liverpool were not expecting a near 60 million pound windfall from the sale of Fabinho and Henderson and at the same time their wages off the bill. Plus the whole package (including the wages Bellingham would have been involved) would have been much more hefty.

Fair play to Brighton, they've stubbornly held their ground all summer about wanting £100m and then the desperate bin dippers come around offering MORE haha

He looked a decent player when he played against us in the cup last year but nothing super special. Spent most of his time rolling round in agony trying (and succeeding) to con the ref if I remember rightly.

Yes looked a very good player but a horrible toe rag at the same time, let's see refs coming down hard on this as well.
