Deal already agreed to return. Good, if true. One problem area solved 3 to go. Presumably he'll play against Brighton?

Deal already agreed to return. Hope so, Bonham is a liability and not good enough. Yes he makes the odd good save, but equilly he has got away with quite a few of late.

I do love opinions and I appreciate your politeness. What was your opinion on Travers’ few months here? I thought that he was largely solid, better than any keeper that we have had since returning to this level. Strong at coming for crosses bar ipswich away. Good shot stopper, his save percentage would support this and his kicking was normally spot on also. Fair enough, not hard to be the best since we came down to be fair. I didn’t think his kicking was especially good and as said, shot stopping stats can be good but if the shots are stopped but palmed straight to another player to a tap in, they’re not much use.

Goalkeeper should be the first leader and organiser in the team. Neither Bonham or Travers are that. Impact that Mark Crossley had is what we need.

Anyone who thinks we can bring a better goalie in that Travers is certainly way more optimistic than me. Thought he played ever so well for us before he left, but of course he made some mistakes as well. Every human will make mistakes, but it's about keeping the numbers as low as possible, and Travers is certainly the best we've had since Bego in my opinion. imo we never saw the Travers at his best tbh, the way he played for Bournemouth when he was regular was top draw , he always looked a bit uncomfortable when playing for us , but i put that down to not playing regular I’d put it down to the defence in front of him

Hope it’s true that he’s back. Bournemouth must have someone lined up?

Given that Travers hasn't played in a proper game for quite some time I can't see him walking straight back into a starting line up and furthermore he's never played for our new coach. He'll be on the bench for a while.

Deal already agreed to return. That’s great news if true, we are an injury away from having fielding or that an u21 in goal, with no experience. An absolute priority

If he does come back and I am not convinced he should or will, there is no way Bonham deserves to be dropped.

If he does come back and I am not convinced he should or will, there is no way Bonham deserves to be dropped. If we want to finish top half we need a better keeper than Bonham, the lad has done reasonably well and we should be grateful for that, but we need better if we are to progress.

Like what has he got away with of late ? Seansea - yes ok . What matches are you watching. Another convinced by this board . Bonham is every bit as good as Travers who is over rated . Bonham has made so many saves but it seems not to register with anyone . Amazing

Amazing You have answered your own question mate, Swansea for a start. He has been lucky or getting away with parrying shots into dangerous places. He has made saves and it does register with everyone, he just isn't good enough. Which is why we have been getting goalkeepers in on loan.

I pity any GK here with Rose and McNally infront of them, I don't see Travers lightning the world with that situation either.

Travers on loan is not a good idea, especially if there is a similar recall clause. Absolutely yes, if it's on a permanent and if not, we have to look elsewhere.
