I May be wrong but for the first hour today he was the furthest forward of our midfield 3 and it didn’t suit him. The soon AN realises it has to be 2/3 do burger Pearson & Laurent the better Agree with this. He seemed to be the closest player to Wesley, especially in the first half & he looked lost. Pearson Burger Johnson That’s how I’d set the midfield 3 up.

Matter of time before he realises the shit show he is in and the impact it will have on his career. He will start to reduce effort, do enough to get by and know he's done enough before Stoke to get a decent move. Could be another one to fall foul of our graveyard curse.

He has got great potential and will prove to be a bargain at £4m but at the moment he's not got used to the pace of the championship. Another half dozen games or so and we'll see a real player at this level.

First time I've really seen him today, and I was very disappointed. Laurent has been criticized heavily this season but he looked miles better than burger. If I was AN I would be sitting burger down this week and reminding him that 4 million quid has been spent on him, and we require a lot more effort and courage during a game. Anything that we did well yesterday largely came through Burger, who I thought was picking up some decent positions and always wanted the ball. He also pressed well and won the ball back on a number of occasions only to give it to someone else who inevitably lost it. I thought he was badly let down by the others around him, especially during the first half where we were really struggling to put basic passes together.

He's got a bit of everything from what I have seen so far, at present though I am not seeing the right blend in the midfield three, get that sorted and I think he will blossom.

I'm not saying he won't be a good player but I thought he was poor yesterday. He was caught in possession more than once and particularly the first half hour, he wasn't tracking runners and he was miles away from the other midfielders. On reflection it may be like someone else said, that he was being asked to play too far forward, to support our static immobile striker.

Thought he was the most engaged of our midfielders tbh. Barely realised Pearson was playing before Burger went off.

He will be more than fine once he adjusts to the intensity of the Championship.
Leris on the other hand worries me . Whatever position you play letting 2 routine passes roll over your foot and out of play and miss hitting a clearance so bad it goes backwards for a corner isn't too clever.
He looked like a frightened little lad out there yesterday.

Unfortunately the manager won’t play a dedicated AM that’s not their fault. There are very few players in the starting lineup who are dedicated to scoring and creating goals.

Another good effort from the media team and nice to see the banter between the players.
Wouter’s partner seems a very nice girl too.

Watched it down the gym. Both he and his girlfriend come across as very grounded genuinly nice people. Great he’s settled in so well. Looks like he’s good mates with the 2 CBs.

Pearson the problem for me in our midfield. Where do you think Pearson is going wrong, JM? Does don't think he's been that impressive since he signed permanently and too many games bypassed him

Was the kind of player we were crying out for but not really cut it for me. Problem is we don't have someone to replace him when needed. The lad at Ipswich, name escapes me plays that role excellently for them.

I agree when we've been poor Pearson has been poor but when we've played well he's been good He was outstanding v Leeds Burger has been a bit disappointing but happy to wait till after Xmas to see more from him as it's normal for players to take months to get to grips with English football

Certainly a good player in there. Caught on the ball at times but will come as you don't get too much time in this league . I think all the foreign signings so far have had the same problem to an extent

Think Pearson has been good to very good, not one of our bigger issues.
I’m more concerned that Laurent took so long to be benched.
