Davies has a 1 in 5 goal rate in the championship? His presence in the team at Watford did not inspire them to be particularly high scorers. Do we really need another Wesley in the squad? If we keep Campbell the forward line should be sufficient. Keep Lowe or Tezgel in the squad. Campbell Mamae Wesley Vidigal Gayle

It's weird how the rumours ebb and flow, from a while ago looking like the Serbia and Stewart were on their way to us, suddenly seems they are bound elsewhere?. Going to be a very interesting few days. Nice position to be in, done some quality business, anything else would be the icing on the cake. Because 99% of stuff posted are rumours. Someone plants the seed then it’s that turns into 10+ pages of solutions and scenarios for something not containing any facts.

The Serbian Jojic has joined us, did you mean the Montenegrin from Cadiz ?

Move on.

Nixon..
Preston are refusing to accept defeat in the chase for Everton striker Tom Cannon.
North End were first in the queue for the young forward if he went out on loan but they are now trying to buy him.
Middlesbrough have opened the bidding for Cannon, offering £4 million. They hope for permission to speak today.
However Preston are trying to come up with a package that will give Cannon a return to the club where he made his name on loan last season.
The queue for Cannon is extraordinary after just half a campaign in the Championship.
Sunderland will also make an offer for Cannon if Ross Stewart leaves for Southampton. They want TWO new attackers.
Norwich are keen on a loan and may make an offer in the next day or so. Swansea and Stoke are also staying in contact with Everton as they wait for the player to have an official value.

Bidding war is what Everton are wanting. They’ve screwed over Preston massively, he was set to go there a few weeks ago apparently.

If you are dealing with Everton the “kenwright cut” could prove the stumbling block.

I think that means they'll wait for Everton to agree with someone, then decide whether to match or beat it. Or pull out of course.

They can have him at that price. If he can't get into an appalling Everton squad then what does that say?
