I’m sick of hearing about them. From the media jizzfest I’d assumed they’d won the champions league final months ago.

Well done. Can see them being in the Championship within a couple of seasons. Those Hollywood guys seem to know how to run a “soccer” club and galvanise a local community. Good luck to them

Good luck to them They will now have to learn how to deal with FFP, which is a whole new different ball game. Each new division comes at a much more even cost:reward ratio as well.

I watched the Welcome to Wrexham series when it was first released on Disney+.
Yes it focuses on the takeover, but it also focuses on a 360 turnaround & the emotions of a football fan who love their club. The beauty about Wrexham & their new owners, is that Rob & Ryan have embraced the club and the community.
After watching the series myself and my lad would have a look at the scores or highlights of their games. It’s nothing to do with them as a team, it’s just that interest in being a football fan. Personally fair play to them, but at the same time I’d be gutted for Notts County if they don’t get promoted via the playoffs.

I'm still convinced the real reason Hughes went to Bradford is to put himself in the frame for the Wrexham job when it next comes up ie. prove he can manage at that level without dropping into non league.
Wouldn't at all be surprised to see them in the Championship within the next 5 years.
Absolutely no reason why they couldn't do a Bournemouth in years to come. They could attract bigger crowds.

The revival of one of the oldest clubs in football and a boost to its local community financially and emotionally in these shitty times can only be a good thing.

Congratulations to Wrexham but spare a thought for Notts County. 106 points and a goal difference of +75 and not guaranteed to go up. Just hope they make it through the play offs.

Seems unfair there is only one team automatically promoted from this league. How did this anomaly come about?

Seems unfair there is only one team automatically promoted from this league. How did this anomaly come about? Because they want to limit the number of clubs leaving the EFL and going into Financial oblivion, which is what has happened to Wrexham over the last 15 years until the US cavalry roared in.

I also wish in a way it was Notts who got promoted as I am sick of the media jizzfest on Wrexham as well, but it will mean we are no longer the oldest club in the league if Notts win the play=offs (discounting Forest who has fiddle with their claim they are the oldest)

Seems unfair there is only one team automatically promoted from this league. How did this anomaly come about? There used be no automatic places, clubs had to seek reelection which most got. For a long time after it was introduced 1 place was probably about right given the then gap on and more particularly off the pitch re League clubs and non league However that gap was closed years ago, the case for 3 up 3 down has been compelling for some time now. Rick Parry recently suggested it's very much on the table Notts points tally this season imho will lead to the EFL agreeing to it
