Just home and I’m still struggling to come to terms with how bad we were 2nd half😳 Did he inject them before they took to the pitch 2nd half? Also don’t get me started on Baker😡😡woeful, utterly woeful.

It's obvious Baker and Neil don't get on. Not long after he came on at Coventry last week, he messed up a pass on the break and Neil went ballistic.
It was a genuine error that is easily done but there wasn't much love lost.
He'll be gone in the summer.

Baker and Celina both massively poor when they came on. Celina looks a livewire but then always turns and plays it back.
Frustrating but we’ve been on a good run recently so shouldn’t dwell on it too much. Time to get back to winning ways.

Just got home too and talk about a cliched game of two halves!!
Quite a few had poor games today. Sadly the subs made us worse.
Baker was shocking. Celina, it’s not the right league for him. Both can easily go in the summer.

Baker is playing like a man who doesn't want to be here. Needs to be sold if we can find a buyer.
Celina is a show pony. Looks like he has something, but there's no end product.

2nd half we just didn’t come out. They won every second ball & dominated the play. Very strange from the first half showing but I think overall we looked shattered & the subs which came on were shocking… what baffles me is how did we look so tired having not played a game since last Saturday?

Today put further evidence to the manager not having a Plan B. Fortunately Plan A has been working very well lately but obviously Bristol sussed it out first half as it was a completely different game.
In AN’s defence there’s very little depth in the squad and what Plan B should have been I don’t know, but I’m not paid handsomely to know either.

We stopped doing everything that made us good in the first half. The goal was coming even without the subs being made, but once it happened we were never winning given the changes. The thing is, subs were needed but you knew it’d make us worse. Tough one for Neil to know what to do for the best.
Really not sure what happened. I’m sure he didn’t but it almost look like they’d been told to stop playing by Neil, given just how much it changed.
Odd, disappointing and very typically Stoke. Just as we got a bit of momentum going, we throw in 45 minutes that look like we’re still a million miles off.

It looked like we’d been training in the mud all weak. Smallbone was undercooking his passing from the first whistle, Laurent wasn’t as energetic as usual and gave away silly fouls.
This is also where a target man comes in. We dominated parts of the first half but they changed it up in the second and we couldn’t figure that out. We lost the midfield battle all second half. Having like-for-like replacements would help. Having a target man that offers a different option would have also been useful.
The reality is, it’s the first half a game in 6 that we’ve not been at it. Let’s see what happens on Monday.

I can, things just didn't fall for us. We were slow to second balls and passes were a bit loose, so players dropped off naturally.
It's just one of those things, a few too many players had off days. It happens.

That result was always on the way, today or Monday. Bad day at the office after a superb six weeks or so. No press today, normally it starts from the front but its not Powells game, simple passes were going awol especially second half. Write it off. The lack of depth on the bench was glaring though.

We would have been a mere 7 points off the play offs with 6 games left had we won. The dream would have been alive. Typically we turn out that second half performance🙄

Nothing to really worry about today. Our first eleven are very good, albeit with a couple of obvious areas we could do with more quality. They won’t play well every game though and that’s where you need options from the bench which we simply don’t have.
A mobile target man and pacy wide player can get you up the pitch when you’re struggling to get out of your own half. Unfortunately the likes of Baker and Celina just don’t offer anything and usually make us worse.

Piss poor negative substitutions, 30 seconds later they score and then as what's happened recently we get done too easily at the back but today they scored, last week Coventry had plenty of chances to get back in the game but failed to score and it's been the same in other games, not complaining too much take the rough with the smooth!

Not sure what other changes there were to make? We made the most attacking available to us at the time. Unfortunately the squad depth is still a problem for us. Even a Lowe or Tezgel on the bench would have helped immensely. Baker and Celina both beyond rubbish.

Smallbone would have done more on one leg

I reckon the players caught the smell of expectation and merest hint of pressure and guess what, they fold like a pack of cards. No pressure and it’s fine, pressure they do not like one bit.

Pearson has been excellent but still doesn't look fully fit yet so why not rest him or bring on a presence in their box?

Just a shame the subs themselves were fucking awful instead of showing what they might be able to offer.
