They need a manager who is used to successfully handling the pressure of managing a top club.
Potter has already said it was painful for him.
It was a shame, he had to accept the move, it just came too soon.

What if he goes to Leicester and they get relegated?! What a fall from grace.

Doubt he will rush to Leicester….
If they get relegated it would be a double blow to his reputation in the space of a month or so.

theprideoflondon.com/2022/09/10/graham-potter-expensive-chelsea/There are always aims and aspirations set out at any club as a season gets underway; Chels are obviously no different in that respect. For 2022/23, the board are said to have given Potter the very same target as Tuchel: a top four Premier League finish. However, should the team fail to reach this minimal requirement, Potter won’t lose his job. Chelsea, preparing to stick by their new man in case of difficulties, apparently want the ex-Swansea City gaffer on a longterm basis. Pride of London will wait to see how it goes at first before getting too carried away.

Certain I read something daft like their squad has about 40 international players. Not even the greatest managers of all time could manage that.

I like Potter.. alot. But Chelsea were in a right mess before he got there and nothing changed in his time there. It never seemed like the right appointment for them.

A bit like Nathan Jones, looked a decent manager until he had to make a significant step up.

Managers go too quickly. The current Brighton manager should stay where he is.
Kompany was linked with Spurs other day. He needs 2 or 3 years proving himself at Burnley.

We are so lucky we never tried to sign him as our manager. 4 wins in 18 games..? That was only slightly better than Nate.
