I generally loathe Chelsea. In the seventies they were quite fashionable and at least they developed Alan Hudson for us! However with the coming of Abramhovic and the availabilty of transfer money, they became the club who contributed most to the modern reality that with strong financial backing you can effectively "buy a title" and it was Chelsea that created the model for this attitude, with some help from Man Utd. Also I can remember about 15 years ago, some Pretentious prat at Chelsea saying "Chelsea are a European Club that plays its football in England". Well it might be a long time before they are in Europe again. To be fair it was the Abramovich money that finally shook things up in the Premier League. The only club that had money to burn was Man Utd and they would doubtless have won the titles that Chelsea did without the dirty Russian cash.

Blackburn won the league. Newcastle and Liverpool’s failed challenges owed less to money than they did their own bottling tendencies.

Technically Chelsea still aren't safe from relegation.

Who would want him after this latest managerial debacle? He’ll be lucky to get even a Championship job now. May have to start again from the bottom like Sparky had to after his reputation was shot.
I think he's done, this is the last time we will see him (cough) 'managing' anybody.
He'll probably end up on Sky with his cousin ...
