Pearson and Axel. With
I think we could find a smallbone WITH goals,. Either on loan or purchase.
I think we could find or better Sarkic
Sterling will be difficult to replace if he doesn’t sign.
Hoever is really growing on me.

Tough one isn't it.. I think the best players among them are probably Tuanzebe and Sterling, they should be Prem regulars in time. But Pearson has transformed us and Smallpiece has cult hero potential...

Axel and Pearson, but any of them would improve us

Probably going to be a question of who could we bring in realistically - in terms of wages/fee.
I think Pearson clearly as hated his time at Bournemouth in terms of fitting in and location - and we could probably get somewhere near with a decent offer there and I think we have that player manager connection also and therefore a player who may take a cut to come here.
Got the feeling from Axel, with the way he speaks, that he possibly wants something permanent, but not sure how much that would cost us and boy do we need central defenders, we are woefully short in that area even now - he is an absolute must for us.
Hoever seems impressed with our manager and pointed how he feels trusted here for the first time in his career - sounds like he would be interested, but another who would probably have to take a pay cut.
Love to see Smallpiece stay but don't get the vibe he wants to.
Sterling - no chance
Quite a few players there who probably all have ambitions to play at the top level, be nice if we could sit them all down and sell the club and our ambition to them. If ever there was a time to go shit or bust now would be it - we have a clever manager and a bunch of players who we know are class at this level, few tweaks here and there and we could be a real threat in this division

Seriously tough one!
Pearson and Sterling.
I was thinking of what happens if we don't sign them. E.g. I think we could get a keeper similar to Sarkic more easily than a fullback similar to Sterling. Pearson is the obvious one.

Stirling and Pearson all day. Stirling is absolute class. Pearson as completely transformed our midfield

Pearson and Smallbone. We haven't had an engine room this effective for years. Could be hard to replicate it with different players.

If it’s only two I’d say Pearson and Smallbone but I really hope we sign Sterling. Tuanzebe is unattainable I think, Sarkic is alright but reckon we could get someone else just as good. Love Hoever but think again we could get someone else as good

I think the most worrying aspect of our excellent upturn in form and standards is that the loan players have been our best performers!
Pearson by a country mile would be the first one I'd keep. He just glues our team together and is the cog that allows things to happen around him. We simply aren't the same team without him, as proven when he came off against Blackburn.
The second choice is a tough one between Axel and Smallbone, but Axel for me would shade it because he is just an awesome defender. It's quite clear he is a top-half Premier League defender and hopefully his sicknote reputation has swept his superb performances under the radar enough that we can sign him without being gazumped.
I would be disappointed if Sterling didn't sign for us when his Chelsea contract expires, but if he doesn't I believe there are other decent RBs we could go for, or hopefully Hoever would return for another loan to be that RB. Signing Manning on a free from Swansea would solve the LB position too.
Smallbone would be tough to replace because of his pressing abilities, but we can find somebody I'm sure. I just think players of Pearson's and Axel's qualities are harder to replace.

Pearson is a must... The rest is a difficult choice, with all playing really well, ideally all of them.... But seen as we can only choose two, its got to be... Pearson and Tuanzebe for me!!!

Pearson and a fit Axel (but there’s little to no hope of him signing).
So Pearson and Smallbone

wages for Axel and Hoever are out of our league If United let Axel go this summer, we'll be in a position to negotiate a sensible wage package for him based on his injury record and recent performances for us. Should United extend his contract however, then £50k p/wk is obviously out of our league and if there were no other takers for Axel then hopefully we could come to a deal with United whereby we pay half his wages for another season. Likewise with Hoever. We are lucky that PSV got stitched up into paying his wages even while he plays for us, but next season we clearly can't afford his £40k p/wk and we would need to come to some 'half and half' deal with Wolves.
