Watched the game this afternoon and was really impressed with Tezgel when he came on, looked sharp, keen and hungry. The way Delap has been playing, I'd give Tezgel a run for a couple of games and see how he gets on, can't be much worse ?

More minutes of the bench for now I think he's getting closer

At least he’s a Stoke City player, I fail to see the point in giving game time to other clubs’ players if we aren’t seeing any benefit.

Easy to say can’t do much worse, but given the current state of things and the current atmosphere it’d be very difficult to come in as a young lad amongst the boos. I’ll trust Neil’s judgment as to when it’s right to put him in

He looked alright to me, good touch and has a brain. When he's filled out and gained experience could be half decent. It's such a jump and so many don't make it, but he didn't look out of place.

He did look like a football player; In many games Delap hasn’t.

The crowd wouldn’t be getting on his back.. should be given a few chances as a late sub at the very least

Looked a lot better physically than when I last saw him. Showed good link up play also.

Don’t think he has great pace but he looks an intelligent player. He reminds me a bit of a striker like Patrick Bamford. He may have a growth spurt and be able to lead the line but seems like a slightly different sort of striker.

This lad really could be leading the front line for England one day, I’d have him in the team quite often.

He's so, so much better than Delap. He's got a footballing brain for a start, has great awareness and looks up when he's got the ball.
Wonderful prospect.
I just hope we can send Delap back asap.

In the games he had played for the first team before he held the ball up well and held defenders off and linked the play.
He’s a very good player.
Hopefully he plays on Wednesday in the youth cup.

It is our way out of this mess and shouldn't be overlooked. When our FFP issues clear up a bit in the summer we must resist the temptation to bladder our available budget on players that are in their prime with no resell on value.
We must look to blood as many of the younger players coming through as possible, else Souttar will be the last pay day for a while.

Was impressed with his performance, his first touch was excellent, far better than we have seen from Delap and definitely Brown and as you say he looked up and linked the play very good. Early days but signs are looking good.

Apologies. Emre, if you’re reading, we hope you’ll have a good career but don’t mind if you don’t.
Admittedly my very brief comment was based on nothing more than a few England youth team appearances and that he’d just scored the winner in the 2026 World Cup final on my Football Manager career and I’d just turned down £120m for him 😂

Neil has said part of the problem is that the squad doesn't have enough players in their prime and wants more. To be fair players in their prime do have a resale value if you cash in before they are past it - it's the players who you buy past their prime that don't.

I’m guessing from the suggestions that he’s a better option than Delap that Emre has been doing as well if not better in the ‘Reserves’/Youth setup?

We seem to be struggling to find a fit firing striker, so I can understand the clamour for Tezgel to be the answer. I sadly think many will be disappointed though.

Performances at u21 don't necessarily translate to league football. It's not an exact science, far from it. In his cameos so far he's impressed me because he hasn't been eased off the ball and has coped physically. And little things like his first touch have been spot on.
