Not sure how we’ve just lost that other than a calamitous panick for their goal. Leave the ball and they’re offside but clear it against your own keeper 🤦🏻

They weren’t very good but we were absolute shit.
Deserved to lose for the negative play and awful management.

On a bit of a tangent our owners wouldn't have touched Kompany with a bargepole.
Ditto Carrick Ditto Corberan

They weren’t very good but we were absolute shit. Deserved to lose for the negative play and awful management. In Campbell we have a forward who'd trouble any centre back in the league in a straightforward foot race,so we consistently lump the ball toward him at either chest or head height, the brainlessness of it makes you want to weep.It doesn't help having a midfield incapable of putting a foot on the ball, but that's another conversation....

We certainly were not the better team.
We did ok in the first half and stifled Burnley somewhat, but there was only one team trying to win the game tonight.
We had absolutely no creativity and were awful in possession. We never looked like getting back into the game once the goal went in.

Burnley won’t get an easier win all season.
A couple of attempts first half with us aimlessly knocking the ball forward for the last 20 minutes doesn’t make us the better team.
Hope the spineless wankers got read the riot act by Neil, but doubt the dour bastard has the bollocks to.

Burnley were a good side- you'd have to be fucking drunk to think otherwise. They moved the ball around very well- quick, assured passing throughout the team, and once they went 1-0 up they easily kept us at arms length.
We actually looked more like scoring than them in the first half, but weren't at the races in the second.

We set up to draw 0-0. Once that calamity of a goal went in we may as well have walked off the pitch and forfeited the game. Awful, ponderous crap again.

We actually looked more like scoring than them in the first half, but weren't at the races in the second. I'd say this analysis is spot on. They easily look like the best team in this League. It's a bit of a head scratcher, in that we were as good as them first half. We were fine and missed a golden chance. Second half, virtually all our players dropped their performance levels and Burnley just carried on as before. So overall, they were the better team.

1st half I thought Neil got it tactically spot on 2nd half our players faded and at the time I thought we had a few minutes of momentum our 3 subs killed it🤔 A very frustrating night all round

I can accept us getting beat, I can probably even accept that certain players dont want be here or feel nothing for this club. What I don't understand is the lack of pride in them. We've sat and watched a side knock the ball about like they're fucking Brazil. Not one player had the bolloxs or heart to go and challenge for the ball. Have some bolloxs about yourself, don't lie down
I've had enough of sides bullying us. Take boxing day against Rotherham Eaves leaves his elbow on Jags and its virtually forgotten, no one gives a fuck. Fucking hit the wanker. Next ball in the air someone should take the ball and take him aswell. Shawcross and Huth would eat him. Have some pride, have some togetherness.
I've had enough of that away end going up when they've scored. For fuck sake have some pride

I’ve been saying the exact same thing, and yet the tactics being set out are to do exactly that EVERY game!!!! I’m still unsure as to WHO is part of our midfield as their players just walk the ball through the centre….EVERY game. It’s like every team has done their homework against us.

Burnley are a good side at this level, I agree, but let's not pretend they played anywhere near their top level tonight. All this assured, quick passing you talk of was done in their own half and a team more adept at the pressing game, which we obviously tried to play (poorly) would have got something out of that game tonight. There were a few times where their "assured" passing went astray and a better team than us would have punished them.

Better teams tend to be topping the table. Poor teams end up battling with the dross at the other end of the table.

A pound shop Man City. Thought they were shit - same as at Turf Moor. They created next to nothing with 95% possession.
Frustration was we never laid a glove on them.

What you witnessed tonight is the difference between a well coached team with a pattern of play v a poorly coached team with no set pattern and no idea of what the best team is

We actually looked more like scoring than them in the first half, but weren't at the races in the second. Burnley did look quite slick at times but they created absolutely nothing at all. The only reason they scored was because bizarrely we hammered a clearance straight at our own keeper. A draw would have been a fair outcome. But if football were fair then none of us would watch it, not being fair is the whole point of football.

I can deal with loosing if every single player in a red and white shirt has left everything out there on that pitch, to see some of them jogging around and trudging back to their positions not giving a fuck after Burnley have just scored breaks my bloody heart.

We could lose one nil to the cones how fucking inept we can be at times and saying we were the best team is insane but that was a solid 0-0 for a vaguely competent outfit at home. They were nowt.
We are not a competent outfit.
