Great to see these pair sitting there having a good laugh talking about their legendary HIAC match. Thanks for sharing that, DC. I’d never seen the match in full as I got into wrestling not too long after it, seen plenty of highlights of the two big falls of course though but never knew Mankind came out again as I assumed that was the main event. Also it’s reminded me how I could listen to Taker all day. I really should’ve got myself a ticket to his tour. Hopefully there’ll be videos of that too!

Great to see these pair sitting there having a good laugh talking about their legendary HIAC match. I love Mick Foleys book “Have a nice day: a tale of blood and sweat socks “. Cracking read!

Even now, The Rock maintains amazing crowd control. Will certainly go down as one of the greatest of all time on the mic.

Was bored the other night and out the WWE channel on and there was a hour of the Evolution Era. Behind the scenes stuff and interviews with Triple H, The Nature Boy, Orton and Batista. Very candid and really interesting to see Flair on his arse with Triple H getting him back to his former self and the injuries and how Batista didn’t feel worthy and Orton being a cocky fucker before realising he was digging his own grave by being an immature tit. Was really good

I remember when he was Stunning Steve Austin on WCW on Saturday afternoons. He had long blond hair and a bald patch then but he was a damn fine wrestler. I don’t think Hogan could have done the same, it was his trademark

I don’t think Hogan could have done the same, it was his trademark Arn Anderson and Ric Flair both reckoned Austin would be the main man someday while he was tagging with Pillman in the Hollywood Blonds. Austin had everything to do that in WCW but obviously got released, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

NXT is a bit of a circus (in a good way at times) so he might be successful there. Fair enough. It was his first call up to a bigger show though (AEW). I imagine WWE will spend more time on career development simply because they love legacy (traditionally). I’ve never watched AEW either. I’ve managed to get my wife thoroughly interested in WWE, but it’s two shows a week + the ppv once a month. If that’s not enough for her, it’s enough for me 😂

Was an Attitude era guy who stopped watching for years then got back into it in 2020 through a podcast of all things.

I've started to take a bit of interest in WWE again this year but I just can't get fully in to it.
The production is just too glitzy. The ring posts, boards etc all filled with shiny LED light displays.
Sometimes less is more and when you look back to the Attitude era & ruthless aggression era, this was genuinely the case.
I'm also pissed off they didn't bring Rikishi back to sort out the Bloodline/Jey vs Jimmy storyline out. A good old fashioned banging of the heads together by their legend father would've been brilliant.
Looking forward to Cody gaining the title although will be sad to see Seth lose it as seems is possible due to his struggles with injury. I'm not convinced LA Knight will get a title run and if he does it won't last long.

I've read somewhere that it's both, think there's been talk about him eventually having to work a reduced schedule. Could be bullshit and I hope it is because he's class.

Apparently Roman will continue to be part time, the Leukaemia has damaged him and he can't do the full schedule anymore, can see him dropping to Rhodes at next WM then building a year long programme with The Rock for the following years mania

I don’t see his eventual title reign being all that amazing to be honest. I think it will fall flat. Reigns just isn’t around enough to make it interesting and I’m kind of just bored of it now. It all went downhill when they gave both titles to a part-timer.

A champion should be front and center of the product. He’s the aspiration. Talking about him to one of his cousins just isn’t the same. The run revitalized Zayn’s career and it’s made Jey into a good upper midcard. However, it’s been 4 years and that’s all it’s accomplished for others. I get them not having a hardcore title anymore. It is dangerous and I do like the special feel that the occasional match gets. What I’d really like to see is a midcard title for the women. I’d want to see it as a workhorse title where the holder works both shows. I think that would really elevate their division. There are too many women just kind of sitting around with no obvious goal.

All this talk of titles... Can we have the old belts back?! The World, Intercontinental, even the Tag belts looked soooo much better back in the 80/90's than the shit looking things they have nowadays.

In my day 😂 there was the WWF, intercontinental, European, hardcore, women’s, and one tag team. I guess the European is more or less the US now, but two heavyweights, two tags, two women’s, and all the NXT titles that some of the senior wrestlers still win. It’s too much and devalues their equivalents.

Couldn't care less about belts, I always liked the mic skill bits better (shoots?) -- The Rock and Jericho were the best at talking trash in my opinion. Scott Hall (RIP) was always funny making the audience wait for him to say "Hey Yo" when he got in the ring or flicking the toothpick at his rivals when he was Razor Ramon. Good times.

Stone Cold and his what thing and give me a hell yeah was always amazing there was a show during covid where there was was no audience and Stone Cold came out to the ring and still tried to play to a crowd that wasnt there, it looked utterly bizarre but im guessing thousands sat at home watching it and did shout back to him in fact that period during covid was excellent for WWE they really had to stretch the skills and take some risks, the boneyard match was outstanding
