Potter should avoid that job like the plague. He won't get the time to work his magic there like he has at Brighton

Talksport saying he was getting sacked regardless of last nights result so you'd think they'd have an appointment within a few days.

If they have any sense then they'll be offering the job to Graham Potter. He's worked absolute wonders with Brighton and would be a much, much cheaper option than some of the big names that they will undoubtedly be linked with.
IMO he should be such an attractive option for any big team. He's turned Brighton in to a great side, on a relative shoestring budget and made a profit in the transfer window in the process.
Some of these big names are old news - and don't stick around anywhere longer than 2-3 years. Potter has been a miracle worker at Brighton and Ostersund with little backing. I guess the only issue would be how he'd deal with some of the big egos, but his human approach to coaching and his qualifications in social sciences would leave him better placed than most.
Still makes me feel sick that we passed up on him. Plenty of people scoffed at the idea.

Rogers is a fantastic coach, don't let a poor 8/10 months at Leicester detract from that........ And Chelsea are a 'super club' - their ego wouldn't allow them to appoint the failed Leicester coach. In what way did he fail?

Still makes me feel sick that we passed up on him. Plenty of people scoffed at the idea. I just don’t think Potter is the right fit for Chelsea. They have ideas above their station whereas Potter isn’t a big time Charlie type of manager. He’ll face a lot of egos in that Chelsea team looking at Potter and asking him “So what have you won?!” Chelsea would also have to pay Brighton compensation. Zidane is a living legend of football, is a La Liga winner, a 3x Champions League winning manager, and is currently out of work. He seems the natural choice for me. And we shouldn’t keep dwelling on what could have been if we recruited Potter. There would have been no point, as he would have left us after a year anyway.

Potter would be my pick.
If I was a Brighton fan I’d be very worried.
And by extension, I’d be a worried Brentford fan…

Laughably crazy. Pochettino? Potter? He may be flavour of the moment - for all sorts of good reasons - but Potter hasn't really achieved anything that would impress a club with a wont of sacking Champions League-winning managers. They probably took Tuchel in the first place because they couldn't get Klopp. I think they'll try for him again, whether publicly or not, but unless Klopp gets sacked first, he's not going to make himself available. For Zidane too, Chelsea would be a step down the ladder. Ancelotti will retire, when he leaves Madrid, so I don't really know who their main realistic target will be.

Could have an impact on the football tiers honestly.
Chelsea appoint Potter.
Brighton appoint Frank.
Brentford appoint … foreign or domestic? Probably foreign tbf. But they could turn to someone in the Champo.
Etc etc.

Is Potter high profile enough for them? Would their players respond to a bloke from Brighton?
I knew we should have waited before appointing O'Neill's replacement.

And he failed in his previous attempt at managing a 'superclub' - Liverpool. Failure to these kind of clubs is not winning the PL or the CL.

Graham Potter has got to be massively in the running. Ange Postecoglou or Brendon Rogers as outsiders? Potter's got no chance. I'd be amazed if Chelsea appoint someone without a proven track record at sizeable clubs, with a number of big trophies under their belt. Nice earner for the bookies though!
