You’d think Kilkenny from that lot, although relatively likely one would be injured. Already looking a pointless signing. MON & pointless signing....no,nay,never! Still a RWB at the club, who would have thought it!

Or adapting to what's going on on the pitch. I always like a manager that can adapt to things happening. Jose used to sub someone after 20 mins if it wasn't working. Most managers won't admit they got it wrong No he’s definitely a mentalist So were the pundits then as they praised him for how he adjusted.

Interesting to see if he chucks him straight in at RWB on Wednesday. He's got to be tempted Don’t see why he wouldn’t.

The biggest 'issue' right now is the window hasn't closed... I disagree. It’s a hodgepodge of muddled thought thus far. As opposed to the strategic thinking on this forum? Unless you know why MON has got him, it's a pointless exercise trying to gainsay him?

Brentford fans seem to like him some puzzled why he’s not been given a fair crack of the whip. RWB is not his primary position but he has been converted to one when needed think he’s played there for Ghana also. griffinpark.org/forums/threads/tariqe-fosu.133152/

Could M. Clarke be a permanent signing? Maybe City would do a swap with us of Delap for Fox, Dunhanney and Clucas. That's the kind of deal I'd try and pull off on Football Manager 😉🤣

In isolation I’d actually like this signing, but there’s so much to unpack from it. Firstly, if the injury to Clarke was 4 weeks down the line we’d be going into the next 4 months having to play a teenage midfielder with two career league games under his belt at wing back. Something the management team were clearly, and fucking bizarrely happy to go with. Then there’s the obvious issue of who misses out of the loanees when Clarke is back providing we get both Delap and Matt Clarke. Kilkenny is the obvious one for me, but then that just becomes another one of many pointless recent loan signings. It’s at best a bizarre turn of events. At worst, it’s really quite concerning the lack of foresight from the management to leave us here. The second point is just conjecture though. There’s no way of knowing that we’ll get either Delap or Clarke. It’s not unreasonable to consider that though. We’re certainly seeming to be in the race for both so it’s surely something that’s worth discussing. You’d hope that it’d been discussed within the club as well, but with us god only knows.

It stinks of a desperate gamble in a key position.
On the positive side, he will offer much more of an attacking threat to the right hand side which will help balance us out a bit and hopefully make us a bit more positive.
You do have to worry about his defensive side though. We already look vulnerable out in the corners and I can see teams targeting us there.

Brighton paid £3.5 million for him 3 years ago and he’s only got a year left on his contract. Does it suit them best to let him leave now for a small loss than keep him until the end of his contract having also paid another X amount in wages? I’m not sure if/what we have to spend if anything but if he joins on loan then I can’t see Delap happening.

The Brentford fans do not appear to rate him very highly.
He really needs regular football to kickstart his career.

So how many loan signings will that be. Can’t have both Clarke (Brighton) and delap can we? We can in theory, but as and when Harry Clarke is fit, one of: H. Clarke M.Clarke Fosu Kilkenny Smallbone Delap would have to be left out of any 18 I think. If Fosu is earmarked for RWB and Clarke is as well then one plays and the other misses out Tbh Kilkenny looks the weakest signing

If we get Delap and possibly Clarke, MON will be under massive pressure to get us into the top 6, he certainly has been backed this window again, so simply must deliver.

Ahhhh wing-back, it all makes sense now!!! I was thinking "winger???" 🤔 He is a mainly a right-footed attacking left winger. He's only played 4 career games at right-back, and hundreds further forward. That won’t bother MoN , he’s already got a cm at wingback 🤦♂️

I didn't even know we had 2 players called 'Clarke' ! I'm losing track. Playing for Stoke has become a 10 month job. Maybe that's the problem. We haven't yet, but it's been touted we wanted to double our Clarke stocks Triple if we're still after Zander

Seems pretty sensible to me. Gives us short term option at RWB (and suggests Clarke injury isn't as serious as feared) and longer term addresses the dearth of wide forwards. Given the smaller squad we're running with this year it makes sense to have players who can cover multiple positions.

Wont be surprised if we play clarke RCB of the 3.
Fosu isnt a RWB. Like jacob brown was not a RWB.
BUT he will be better than young sparrow. Fair play to MON for reacting. Shame he's not done the same with the keepers yet
