If his primary position is on the wing, doesn't sound like he's gonna cut it defensively if he does play wing-back???
Hypothetically speaking mind ya!!!

Maybe we will go
Wilmot Flint Taylor Tymon
Laurent. Baker
Smallbone
Brown. Gayle. Fosu
?????
Fosu only played as a winger at Oxford and across the front in his last season actually playing football

It stinks of a desperate gamble in a key position. On the positive side, he will offer much more of an attacking threat to the right hand side which will help balance us out a bit and hopefully make us a bit more positive. You do have to worry about his defensive side though. We already look vulnerable out in the corners and I can see teams targeting us there. No, it's loaning someone who could play RWB for the few weeks Clarke is out but will be an option further forward when Clarke is back. I would imagine it is quite difficult to get a genuine, decent RWB to come on loan for a season knowing he may only get 5 or 6 games and then be cover for Clarke who I imagine Arsenal want us to play regularly.

Why would you do that for a few weeks? That’s nonsense.

At least he won’t be checking back every time he gets the ball in an advanced position and slowing attacks like…. Cuco, Smith, Duhaney, Sparrow all have done.

Clarke is more of an orthodox right back in my book. Fosu seems rated by Bees fans and as a right wing back. I think it shows an attempt to solve a problem we have with pace on the right even if it does set 3-5-2 in stone. Fosu seems flexible enough to maybe cover lwb as well if needs must.

seems like a good acquisition to me.
we want someone brave and skilful enough to take the ball forward.

I’d rather have a wingback that was better going forwards than defending. Best form of defence is attack.

Could be quite exciting. If he can bomb on like Tymon does, getting plenty of balls into the box will hopefully reap rewards!

Sums it all up really. I have no idea about this lad so can't comment, but the manager has spent all summer saying he wants a left sided centre back and one injury to the most crucial position in his chosen formation has meant it's now very unlikely he'll get that centre back because he also wants a forward.
Can't wait for Delap to go elsewhere on deadline day and see which fucking idiot turns up as his final throw of the dice.

I think they’re picking available players out of a hat The more of his players he signs the more difficult to get rid early. Which is what we need to do

To be fair, backup to Harry Clarke at Stoke is hardly a role many loan players will be jumping at. We’re also badly lacking in pace which it sounds like he might offer? Also if it works out we can slot Clarke in at RWB which on paper probably looks to be his best position (bit like a budget Reece James).

Yes I like you too. I once did actually. Yes and some of the stuff you posted made sense now it’s just mainly bizarre, maybe it’s me. There's certainly a method to the madness, which is that MON will become a board member at the end of the season and thus can't be sacked, and he will choose a line of successors promoted from within, starting with Holden. Just my opinion, of course.

I'll admit I know little about this lad but from what I understand he played 16 minutes for Brentford last Season. Is that Bollocks or was he injured? From what I can see the most impressive thing about this lad is his name Tarique Kumahi Malachi Akwesi Fosu-Henry, try and make a fucking chant out of that. I've had Nigerian Prince's offering Millions of $ with less impressive names than that.

It’s sounds like about as good as we’ll get given we’ve been forced into the market unexpectedly.
Gives us a degree of flexibility as well.

Never trust someone who has played for Brentford, we have a bad record with them. We get told they are amazing but they're usually shit for us. Or maybe I've just not gotten over Ryan Woods

Or maybe I've just not gotten over Ryan Woods The problem with Woods and Sawyers is that we didn’t sign them at the same time and bring them in with a hard hitting midfielder. You can clearly see how Woods and Sawyers would work together. Woods dropping deep to get the ball and pass it marginally forward to Sawyers. Sawyers probably would have worked now that we have Gayle as well. Shame he was beyond lazy defensively.

Mainly as they develop decent players so of course we don't buy from them.

Why’s everyone grating on this signing for???
Literally possibly about the only player out there that we could have got who can play RWB/LWB as well as LW/RW…. on loan for little £££s !!! Wtf!!!
In this league and climate we’ve possibly signed us a good unicorn and all you lot come out here with your blathering and babbling whining bullcrap.
Should we perhaps give the lad a chance? Before all you luddites right him off?
As a stoke fan It’s embarrassing to read a lot of ya…

Does anyone else just not get excited at all anymore with a new signing. There are a lot of MoN doubters on this board (a loud minority) and signing good players from a higher league ruffles their agenda. This guy Fosu will prove a very good signing in several positions.
