What would you call it then. I see it as a right fucked up club from top to bottom Yeah ok Oldham Athletic, Portsmouth, Brighton and Leeds United a few years ago, Bury etc etc are fucked up clubs We are anything but fucked up or toxic this. Our biggest issue is finding the right man to take us on and the boards stubbornness to go foreign and search with a wider net.

No we aren’t Basket case is a saying similar to the toxic bollocks that gets thrown around regularly We may not be a basket case club but far too many mistakes have been made and are continuing to be made.

Id describe us as a self-defeating club We seem incapable of hiring decent managers for the job since Hughes, seem dithering over hiring and firing generally even when the writing is on the wall Player recruitment is more miss than hit Our current manager will probably run his contract down despite consistently failing to get a tune out of a top third squad. Why we'll probably extend his contract!

Just driven back up from BHA today, I do know a few people at the Amex and the story is Clarke will almost certainly go but they want a permanent and a small fee in the next week to ten days. Unlikely to be a loan.

How much money would he really actually cost if Brighton desperate to get him gone. They only paid 3.5 million and with their recent windfall and Prem money it's fuck all.
The loan market is now closed unless prepared to leave one of new players out which seems unlikely. So the only option would be on the cheap.

Any further incomings will have to be purchases, as I believe we have reached the maximum number of loans?.

Our own Aden Flint went to Boro from Bristol City for £7.2M, a month shy of 29 y/o with almost 2 years remaining on his contract. Clarke is 3 years younger, with a string of Player of the Year awards at his most recent Championship clubs, but with now less than a year to go on his BHA contract... I would say roughly £6.5M.

Not if it was a Championship club that wanted him. Money in this league has changed dramatically. No one is spending that sort of cash, especially not on a defender.
