If its Watford with a perm we stand no chance. Hour and half separates them and brighton. You would think logistical clarke would prefer them. He will mostly likely see himself in the prem next year with them

If its a straight choice he'll go there I'd imagine. Jury obviously out on new management there but they usually have 4 managers a season and still go up. A bit like Gayle pity we didn't get 3 years ago.

Brighton have just announced signing Levi Colwill (young CB from Chelsea who was on loan at Huddersfield last season).

Scholes and co legacy deals we could win with financial muscle we no longer can , the great accountants final legacy we are skint within the rules We don't know that to be fair and no one really knows what we have available after the Summer. For sure are restricted but 7in so far is it compared to none I think at the odd club.

Under FFP rules we're permitted to overspend by around £13 million a year, aren't we (or £39 million over a three year period)? Doesn't that mean that we are better placed to invest in the calibre of the squad than most non-parachute clubs in this league?

This makes me think we really can't afford to have major fan protests if we fall behind against Blackpool. No player faced with similar options in the Championship would choose a club with that sinking feeling. We could really do with a board statement this weekend to calm everyone down... Yep a board statement of “ we’re like to thank Michael for his time here but now is the moment to move on “

I see it as a right fucked up club from top to bottom We’re a club with very wealthy owners who genuinely care about the club and who have good intentions, but lack the foresight and ability to install the right structure to see success. There’s a huge difference between us and ‘fucked up’.

There’s a huge difference between us and ‘fucked up’. I can’t agree. It’s totally fucked up especially under Scholes. That newsletter on the website was pretty out there for us. So maybe it’s starting to change but that a simple thing like that was so out there should show people what it was like. I still think we’re backwards thinking off the pitch but it seems like it’s changing. On the pitch, I’m not sure how anyone can argue it’s a place where players go to stagnate.

A shit run club is one thats liable to go out of business, we are from that whether you agree or not, and are correcting financial mistakes that have been made, rather than making things worse. That may not equate to what people want. Im not enthused by the football and im not convinced in O'Neill, however id rather have it how it is with people that care about the club and the local community, than some random owner, its just our owners need to see that they can still be in control yet employ some people more football minded.
I also think some people forget how football works, in that 3 teams will always go down and 3 go up and that has nothing to do with money but just simply football results over a season and often unexpected teams suffer from this and go down. whereas no matter how much money or effort you put in doesn't entitle you to to not suffer, and we are going through some suffering having had some good times and thats football. Your other option is closed leagues and that would be boring
