Why bring Flint in at the expense of a left sided defender? His signing seems even more unnecessary.

That makes more sense. No way we could afford a fee like that. Makes me weep that we can spunk £17 million,on a fat, overhyped reserve centre half from spurs, and now find ourselves in a position, where we are not able to find a couple of million, for a good solid defender, who would go a long way to solving our defensive woes.

Shame as he's a good player. However I think a decent keeper would solve a lot of our problems.
As well as a new manager of course

Shame as he’s decent but you can’t blame him for choosing a club that look a better proposition long term.

Why bring Flint in at the expense of a left sided defender? His signing seems even more unnecessary. I think Flint was brought in because Jagielka is only here until Christmas and the Souttar injury He is cover for those 2 not the left side situation

Don't see how we were ever seriously in for him on a permanent deal if that's the fee. Where the fuck do we turn to now? The bloke from Fulham still available?

Holden would struggle to get a job in a school as a PE teacher from what I have seen and heard. Flint is a poor signing imo, but it's the manager fault for listening to Holden in the first place. I think it was a panic buy in the sense that we thought we might not get anyone else.

I think Flint was brought in because Jagielka is only here until Christmas and the Souttar injury He is cover for those 2 not the left side situation It’s pretty obvious that that’s the case, that he’s a short-term stop gap for Souttar and a more physical option for Jagielka, who likely wants to go back to Derby. I’m not sure what better player we could get for a back up, but apparently it should be prime Maldini on a free. There’s so much wrong with this club right now, but bringing in an experienced free transfer as a back up option isn’t going exactly one of them.

Look at Taxhyon’s stats, exactly the analysis clubs use, which show how poor Bursik is relative to other keepers in this division. At no point in his career has he been even an average Championship keeper. His best games have been for League 1 sides which tells a story But he's young and will improve. Future England keeper England over sixties walking football ?

I don't care who this clown brings in it will not save his job or improve the team we are already seeing that with probably the one of the best squads in this league. He does not have a clue how to use or set a team up.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-middlesbrough-transfer-matt-clarke-7499250Clarke would have ticked a big box for Stoke, who remain in the market for a defender who can make a big impact on the left of a back three. O'Neill has suggested that loans and free agents remain the two options available, with wriggle room provided by the potential exits of players such as Peter Etebo. Transfer fees are a rarity in the Championship these days, however, and Stoke could also try to negotiate a free transfer with players who are under contract, as they have had to do themselves often enough over the past two years as they have brought down the size of an expensively-assembled squad.
