A chippy owner was just on RS saying that chip shops 'ought' to be charging £12.50 for Fish & Chips, based on cost of ingredients, and that's the price people should expect to pay. He then went on to say that £12.50 for a meal is acceptable. Mental. I suppose it is, it will cost more than that in a pub The chippy used to be the cheap takeaway option. They can get fucked at £12.50 a pop.

If you split that between five it seems like good value but when I added those things together in my head I only got to about £15! And it’s not because I can only count to 15 before anyone gets any ideas😉 Same here, that's ludicrous! Though I did notice the other week, that a large battered cod in my local chippy was £5.90. Ffs. It’s £9.50 for a large cod at our chippy….and queues on a Friday night are usually 20 long. I large cod, 1 medium cod and 2 large chips was £36 on Friday. Fish and chips is now our most expensive standard takeaway option…. with the exception of Wagamama etc

I took the wife to a local chippy for her 50th birthday, had a cracking time, she thought I was kidding when I told her not to dress up, looking back I actually over did it price wise.

I would expect that to be £20 max (which is still expensive). I had a large portion of chips, 2 large sausage and a can of pop yesterday and that come to a tenner. I thought that was expensive!!!!

Turkey dinosaurs are now £3.75 . They don't even look like dinosaurs. The love just isn't there.
I don't like fish so when I get fish and chips I just get chips. Think is the sensible option.

A few weeks ago in London pretty much every chip shop was charging that for fish and chips, wouldn't pay it out of principle, in Clapham I saw somewhere selling it for £7.50, very nice it was too, probably much more than that now

Trouble is though, I couldn't fit it all in my fridge so now I've got a garage full of hundreds of tubs of yellow grease. My only hope is that they bring back 'Noel's House Party' so I can flog it off to the BBC for use in Edmond's infamous gunge tank.

This is getting ridiculous now, downright robbery😡😡😡
I contacted Zooplus (pet food supplier) this morning to order the dog food.
Last order I placed was in September/October 22 and the product was £37 (not on promotion) for a 12kg bag, it’s now £53 per bag. Absolutely disgusted I rang the supplier direct Arden Grange and it was £60 a bag, couldn’t help to say it’s daylight robbery and why can the likes of Zooplus and Amazon be cheaper, told they’ve stopped being so cheaper to them now, oh really!!!
Yes I expect things to go up but Christ this is a piss take now

If the medium fish was (say) £7.50, that would make the bags of chips £9.50 each!

I can't believe someone eats Chicken Kiev. I absolutely detest garlic. NZ McDs did a McGarlic burger for a while. A burger soaked in the diarrhoea of Satan that is garlic I stood outside waiting for my order once as the place reeked of the stuff....is hideous.

Not food but anyone been hit with an £8 pint yet?
£7.95 is the highest I've heard of at the Leeds direct arena for a pint of Moretti
It was £7.25 at the Opera House in Manc for a 500ml bottle of either Budvar or Magners which does work out at over 8 quid a pint. I didn't drink either of them.

I’ve started drinking Guinness more now because in some places it’s as much as a quid cheaper than a strong lager/beer.
