I'm not a massive KFC fan but partake once or twice a year. I tried to order from Meir but it shut at 10.30 and am now paying 2 pound more on my order for the privilege of coming to Fenton. Nothing to do with the OP but I'm fuming As a man of chicken take away delights I have to say I wouldn’t go KFC if you paid me. There’s loads of places that do way better chicken than the colonel. Get googling, had some cracking stuff recently! I agree KFC is vile these days, quality has really gone downhill unfortunately. Used to like it when I was younger. My local chippy does fantastic chicken for much better value

And it’s not because I can only count to 15 before anyone gets any ideas😉

Thee best Chippy. Fishermans Catch Kidsgrove. No chance of paying way too much in that place. They have a specials board with good deals on and its just enough for 1 person 👍

Being a poor old OAP and not being able to afford this fish and chip shop fine dining now, how much do they charge for fish bits these days? I can make a decent tea out of a bag of fish bits with plenty of salt and vinegar on them and a couple of rounds of brown bread and butter, followed up with a nice cuppa and a slice of ginger parkin. I know it will cost me more than the 30p that arsehole said we should only spend on a meal, but I can manage a few shillings extra. OS. *Edit, my grandson is a chef at Tawny Hotel at Consall and they charge £160 for their meals. He recently invented a new meal for them and tried it out on me first - roast duck with rhubarb. It's now their best seller and I'm not surprised. It was bloody lovely.

It’s ridiculous how much things are now, I tend to do our weekly/fortnightly shop and purposely avoiding buying stuff that needs cooking in the oven as it costs a fortune to go in the oven. Crazy how we’ve come to this situation and there’s worse to come.

I didn't know we imported these huge amounts of food from there.

You say that but the price of Chicken Kievs have gone through the roof! Makes sense I suppose😉 Sorry I mean Chicken Kyivs😏 Can you buy them frozen at the store? I had to see what it was, never heard of it. 🚶👍 Having a lot of my own composition of Parma Salad (dried ham, salad cheese, green pesto, cucumber, pepperoni, corn and chick peas pasta, gorgonzola picante, garlic dressing, black olives, green salad mix) made in advance the coming days myself, painting the kitchen cabinets and shelves - can't be there too long to cook or anything.

Yes mate, frozen or fresh although I often make them myself. That’s a whopping salad!! Paint, another thing that’s increased in price🙄

If I got the chance I will buy a cupboard this autumn/winter and stock up on groceries and other necessities, get internet and work from home.
Huge warnings about Covid-19 mutations here, where the vaccines have no effect whatsoever.

4 pints of milk was £2.20 for 2 bottles, now £1.65 each, in saying that bloke I know imports cattle feed, well did from Ukraine and it’s sky rocketed in price.

A chippy owner was just on RS saying that chip shops 'ought' to be charging £12.50 for Fish & Chips, based on cost of ingredients, and that's the price people should expect to pay.
He then went on to say that £12.50 for a meal is acceptable.
Mental.

Aldi (their best range) do two large Cod in batter absolutely massive portions and really tasty for £3.70, mushy peas 32p and frozen chips no idea how much but say £2 for a big bag, so that’s around £5 for two. Robbing barstewards at &12.50,

All those fools that think the food is nice as in my opinion it's garbage will now need to pay 1.19 for a Cheeseburger in Macdonald's.
