Watched this in a bar in Carvoeiro, Portugal. Went looking for anywhere that was showing the game and spotted a group of approx. 8 Stokies through the window so joined them - a never to be forgotten afternoon

Yep, unlikely there’ll ever be another day like it
Was quite happy when Man City scored yesterday as didnt want Liverpool matching our score

It was a very special day. Unique in our history. A team of committed players managed by a proper leader. Over a century of frustration came together that afternoon. There might have been 40,000 of us physically at Wembley but there were many more with us in spirit who had wished for a day like that their entire lives.

I always chuckle at the 5th goal when Wilko tackled himself 6 yards out

I still remember not being confident we would win until the 5th went in🥴 I was the same, mate. At 1-0 up we'd scored too early, at 2-0 up I knew the next goal was crucial & they'd get it, at 3-0 up at half-time I knew if they scored early second half they'd come back & win, at 4-0 up I was convinced it was all a dream, even at 5-0 I was just laughing to myself wondering what the fuck was happening & how it couldn't be real. Mental day.

Undoubtedly, one of the best ever days to be a Stoke fan. And one of those days where everything went right for us.
OS.

I was thinking how embarrassing it would be to be 3 up at half time and lose it live on international TV. I only really relaxed when the 4th one went in.

Half time was unbearable. Thinking of all the ways we could bodge it up.

To this day I recall still daring not to come out from behind the sofa, even with two minutes left. That’s what a lifetime of seeing Stoke fuck things up does to you 😂😂.

A truly magical day out.
Everything was perfect about it. Seems like a lifetime ago now.

It was beautiful, absolutely beautiful and if you could bottle the feeling of us Stokies that day I would drink that everyday of my life.

I was so nervous at half time thinking we could still lose this i did not want the second half to start. Even at 5-0 i was praying that we did not concede a goal as things could still go tits up. I just hope i get another day like that in my lifetime.

Great day out, right up there with the best days following Stoke.
Completely ruined the Final experience though, that and the actual match itself did anyway.

What a day. I remember just being in total shock when Huth scored and thinking 'fucking hell, we might actually do this'. Great weather, the sun shone on us in more ways than one.
You don't get many perfect days supporting this club but that was definitely one of them.

Yes same feelings as everyone else thinking we'll fuck this up.. until number 4 went in then that was it all the emotions came out, all the hurt from seeing us lose the two semifinals in the 70s being quite young at the time and not understanding why my dad cried, he was there beside me i could feel it and i just put my arms out to my side head back and breathed it all in the noise the atmosphere the lot great day..

I was right in line behind Walters for the fourth goal, it was in from the moment it left his boot. Great goal that was and a fantastic day out!

The Roundabout was the best pre-match venue I've ever been to What an absolutely perfect day. The Bolton fans were class too, shaking our hands and singing the Wanky Wanderers song after the game.

How we’ve fell now though We have fallen on hard times but just look at what happened to Bolton, everything they had built just seemed to crumble around them, relegation from the Premier (if I remember correctly at the Brit) then successive relegations through the leagues, near bankruptcy, we even loaned them Verlinden because they couldn’t field a team. It just shows the fine lines in the fortunes of being a football supporter.
