Did he say in his post match interview with Ange that he’d probably have to have it before the season ends?If so he’ll be away a while depending on his recovery time.

Yes he said he needed it at the end of last season but postponed it as it would have meant him missing the start of pre-season. He also said it was giving him a lot of pain at the moment- sounds to me he really needs to get it done soon.

Take as long as you like Michael. Those seats at Windsor Park will sort it out

If O'Neill misses the end of the season, there will be plenty from this board singing hip hip hooray.

What's he having it replaced with?
I'd opt for some sort of Dremel multi-tool, or failing that, a detractable fleshlight fitment (like an erotic Inspector Gadget).

A hip replacement is much simpler than a knee and should take him no time to get over. He should really wait and get it done when the World Cup starts.

That explains why his hands are always in his pockets he's holding his pelvis in place 😁

They should encourage him to get it done ASAP back to duty of care in my view and he will be a lot better without the pain and we need him fit and firing for n early start due to the World Cup

Wonder if he will have general anaesthetic? Or will they put this seasons home games on for him? That will send him asleep

I wish he was gone, but I wish him well.
There have been a lot on here criticizing his lack of animation in matches; we now know why.
Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Now were mathematically safe we should look to encourage him to get it done remaining games are dead rubbers anyway if a hip operation recovery is a lengthy process then will he just leave holden in charge??

My friend was out of bed walking a short distance on the day of her op and a week later was at home walking with a stick. I was amazed.

Hip operations are the easiest to recover from with knee replacements second and shoulders the worst. He shouldn't miss much at all.

I had both done in one year (2017) you're booted out of hospital (Nuffield in my case) after 2 days with a pair of crutches and walking okay after about a month. 👍
