I had both done in one year (2017) you're booted out of hospital (Nuffield in my case) after 2 days with a pair of crutches and walking okay after about a month. 👍 you had a full recovery after a month!! Your full of shit Recovery to return to work is possible in a couple of months depending on your job He can still be involved in lots of ways while he regains physical fitness He’s healthy, has age on his side and will have access to the very best rehab No reason to delay it

You aren't running marathons immediately and I'm not full of shit, thanks for the insightful comment though.

It takes as long as it takes or as short as it takes. Let's just leave it to the professional people and just wish our manager the very best for his recovery.

Hip replacement recovery is 4-6 weeks go back too bed an stop talking horse shit Depends on what you mean by recovery. I’ve had both replaced 8 years apart. I was walking without crutches or stick by the 6 week review. Took around 3months of physio and exercise to be fully active which for me was badminton, walking, cycling and kayaking.

We must have won yesterday if people are arguing over how long a hip operation takes.

View Attachment takes a month for a full recovery does it 😂😂😂😂 by fuck some folk talk out of their assholes Did you actually read what was said? The guy said he was "walking ok" in about a month, not that he had made a full recovery. You really are a prat.

What's he having it replaced with? I'd opt for some sort of Dremel multi-tool, or failing that, a detractable fleshlight fitment (like an erotic Inspector Gadget). Something that won't send the scanner at the airport into meltdown before he boards the Belfast flight hopefully!

As I said in my previous post, and I’m in a good position to offer my 2 penneth having had 2 hips replaced, after 4-6 weeks you can be walking unaided and following this physio and the right exercise will bring you back to full fitness after 12 weeks. This was my recovery process for both hips. Clearly there can be complications that delay recovery but these are rare. Have you actually had a hip replacement?

I would of hardly had a hip replacement at 40 u muppet buy my old fella has.. an he was still having jip after 6 months Why are you being so aggressive and disrespectful in this discussion ? Of course we all know you’re 40 don’t we . Anyway age doesn’t necessarily prevent hip wear and damage requiring surgery of some description. At an earlier age hip repairs often just require resurfacing of the joint bearing surfaces. Sorry to hear your old man had complications hope he’s ok now. There is now a new procedure of keyhole hip replacement called "Super Path" which is much less invasive on surrounding muscle tissue and tendons. It is possible with this method to have full recovery in 4 weeks. Perhaps this the what MON will have.

I’ve had the same hip replaced twice the first time I was 35 so I was relatively fit and i was off work 12 weeks.I did/do a physical job,but I would say for a less active job you should be ok around the 8 week mark. But everyone is difficult so no 2 operations will take the same amount of recovery time.

Anyone on this board got any idea how long it takes to recover from a hip replacement?
I've heard you can be walking after 4-6 weeks, but another guy told me that's complete bollocks and more like 6 months.
All opinions welcome

A hip replacement is much simpler than a knee and should take him no time to get over. He should really wait and get it done when the World Cup starts. Don’t know about that but I’ve just had my knee done and it was just a bit painful afterwards lol.MON will get a lot more physio and support than I had though…get it done Michael…your health is more important than the job.

Had my hip replaced 6 weeks ago, can get about the house now without the crutch, but still use it outside, have been told I can drive again at the end of this week, get my other Hip done in June or July.

For his own sake, he should get it done quickly.
This season is going no where and I think the board have already decided on his future employment at SCFC.

Could explain our limp performances this season. I honestly thought that both Maja’s hips had frozen for a few seconds on Saturday afternoon.
