I'd rather have Nathan in my defence than any United defenders, and thats at his age. Will be going to the top that's for sure.

I would expect him to be playing for a top 6 side by the end of next season, regardless of Burnley's status.

I'm still annoyed we sold him to fucking Burnley tbh.
He's way better than that.

One for the stats lovers: Such a shame we couldn't hang on to him. My mate a Burnley fan said he was excellent for them last night. Excellent for me too on FFL 😉

Wonder what the sell on his as £12m looks a steal at that According to davejohnno who has an ear to the ground on all things Burnley related there are clauses that could take the deal to £18m overall but not sure about a sell on clause........

There's surely a sell on clause? Not even Scholes was that useless, was he?

What's this obsession with sell on clauses? More money for the club to waste? We missed out on Verlinden with a sell on clause. Could have splashed out on a Toilet Duck extra strength pine fresh for the Boothen jacks with the money lost there .

Funny isn’t it - just read this from page 1 - so quick to slag off players, what do those doubting Thomas’s say now to the statement 5th best defender in premier league. Somebody at Stoke knew he was going to make it and can be get Burnley’s Chief scout and recruitment team - oh apart from their current centre forward

Yep in the press the other day. Interesting that Roberts basically said they were able to play football last 2 games which suggests that the were not happy with the old style. Think they might actually do it now

That would be welcome but given the Butland sell on clause we endured and the shaq one you’d hope for slightly better if he turns to gold when you think of the McGuire fee for example but we were clearly on the back foot

The Athletic claimed it could rise to £19m. It'd be interesting to know how much rests on them staying up though theathletic.com/3093428/2022/01/26/mislav-orsic-why-burnley-have-started-shopping-in-europe/Burnley will spend in the Championship for the right player. Their successful summer pursuit of Stoke City defender Nathan Collins, a 20-year-old who had made only 47 senior appearances, saw them agree a deal that could potentially become a club-record fee of approximately £19 million if certain add-ons are triggered.

One for the stats lovers: Aren’t stats pointless shite? This particular stat is fairly misleading as he has only played 13 Premier League games, and isn't even in the top 11 Burnley players of minutes played this season. If a player had one amazing game all season and didn't play again, he'd still top the chart based on that one game rather than over the course of a season.

Him and Souttar at CB would have been immense now. One of the best CB's we had at the club and now one of the best in the country (if stats are to be believed) played at full back to accommodate Chester 🙄 For the reccord, he wanted to go, that's not MON fault, but if played in his correct position, would we have been better placed to get back to the promised land and would he have been happier to stay here and "have a go" at going back up?

Have you forgotten that Collins was badly injured in mid February at Norwich and never kicked a ball for the club again?
