I for one was happy he got the toxins out of the club. He stabilised us and with wage constraints got us a squad which he thought was the best he could do. This season he has bought in good potential loanees / signings in Baker-Philly-Maja etc.but keeping Chester/Fox ..no way.. for me his tactical ability is lacking so much...he has no plan B and he so frustrates me when he keeps trying to promote positives from useless performances..get his tactics sorted then i for one will give him more time...the latest matches have been atrocious...Michael i am swaying for you to go but as before we have to be careful what we wish for.

In, bit more worrying than binary season, and the green shoots of showing something positive are different, but I think they are there

If Smith is the only option that's on MON too, he sent a right back packing without bringing one in, whichever way you look at it its poor management. Smith was not an option. He was injured, Exactly, which leaves us massively short its poor management. Having one option he's happy with is ridiculous. He clearly doesn't really rate Duhaney either as he tries his hardest not to use him. We also don't have a single rightback he's willing to use, hence Wilmot there, and people are saying he's built some top 6 side.

In, bit more worrying than binary season, and the green shoots of showing something positive are different, but I think they are there If you could help me see them I'd be thankful...... I guess you could say it’s been up and down since the new signings in jan, at least there was ups, I got tired of watching stoke not having a shot on goal, since the additions it’s escalated, we had hopes of touching the play offs, the footy on the pitch on some games is improving, still turgid shit in there but , amongst that we show what we can do, notts forest, palace in the cup, for me it’s swing them games as green shoots and putting up with shite at the same time. A game involves two teams who both want win, whilst results have been shit we’ve shown more desire, definetely not consistently , but we ain’t consistently turgid. Binary season was not leaking goals and it turned out to work, from that we built a solid foundation. We showing moments of getting better, but we need to be more solid, we still prone to super duper individual mistakes in a game. E.g Norwich maybe last year, cut or reduce that we move forward, I think we are. It dunt look good though we have to mymind entered the point of no return, he’s almost got do what he’s revered for just the remainder of the season.

He goes at the end of the season. If he's sacked now I can see history repeating itself and replacing him with a Lambertesque type manager. Identify the replacement and work to get him to the club otherwise I can see a Warnock/McCarthy rocking up at the Bet365.

Ever increasing lead for out. A bit tighter than I thought it'd be though. How many are those from further afield who don't get to enjoy MONball on a regular basis though? It's easy to preach patience when you aren't handing well earned cash over.

There is no argument for keeping him unless you want a club that bobs along in midtable going nowhere.

I respect the opinions of those who want him to stay but I find all the comments about the harm of "constant change" amusing (on the poll thread). O'Neill has already been in post way longer than the average manager, and there are only four longer-serving than him in our division.

I actually think it would be a massive massive gamble to sack him now Which team's budgets actually allow them to have a freer hand in transfer fees and wages for new players though, CP? Teams in this league just don't spend money or pay high wages anymore. It's obvious that we've had to be ultra-careful in making sure we're just on the right side of the FFP line - but in terms of what we've still been able to spend - in going right up to that line- I'd be surprised if there were many who'd spent more outside the parachute clubs. I don't think that's any kind of excuse this season, given what we've been able to bring in compared to our competition. Huddersfield, for example, haven't spent one penny.
