Regardless of what we feel about MON’s ability to determine a game or whether he will take this club to the next level, it’s seemingly undeniable that he has overseen stability in league position while simultaneously putting a major slash into the wage bill. Given that Davies was going to be on a big wage, it’s reasonable that he’s now gone. Have to hope that Bursik shows some quality soon. was he on a big wage? Wasn't signed during Rowetts time

Someone at work has just seen him getting petrol in the Co-Op at Dodworth, I shit you not....... I'm more surprised that someone that isn't a Stoke fan would even recognise him. Did he parry the petrol pump into the middle of the forecort?

Heard anymore sniffs regarding incomings? More about outgoings To me all of this recent activity just screams out we are doing everything possible to avoid FFP sanctions whilst remaining competitive enough to build a play off challenge this year or next. Its the right thing to do long term for the club too.

The only keeper we've had since our return to the Championship to concede less than a goal a game and has the best clean sheet ratio.
He's done a fine job for us really, the stability he provided when he came in for Butland at the end of 19/20 was a great factor in restoring belief in the defence and but for his injury last year I think he'd still be number 1 now. Bursik had his development accelerated by Davies' injury and once he showed he was at least as good it was always going to be difficult for him.
Liked him a lot to be honest, performance at QPR this season was as good a performance I've seen a Stoke keeper turn in.

I think he's done a good job for us at a time whereby we seemed to be struggling. However, nice to actually get some money back for someone leaving the club and a big wage of our books too.
Good luck Davo!

Powell would be an interesting one to value - effectively another 18 months under contract if stories about this option are true?
And what level of clubs would be in for him?

And what level of clubs would be in for him? 3/4 million.. but we wouldn’t get anyone better so no point in selling him.. lives near.. young family.. give him the pay rise an extend contract.. end of story
