I thought the books were finally (finely) balanced, what is it precisely that now puts us in trouble?

Bit close to the relegation zone if we do that, but should just have enough to survive.

That’s a fake account. given the further posts on this thread thought would bump this there in absolutely no way Steve Gibson would be sanctioning spending money (as they are this window) if they were close to the wind re FFP given all that has gone on with Derby with Boro/Gibson lading the campaign against Derby (rightly too in my view) as for us I think given we have no CEO now would look for John Coates or Peter Coates to say something re our FFP position

If only we hadn’t spent money on Surridge then we would have a little financial wriggle room. That was a mere drop in the ocean compared to what was wasted previously. True

Given Steve Gibson led the push for Derby to be punished id be surprised if they had much to answer too. Why woukd he kick up such a stink about Derby if his own doorstep isnt clean?

Absolutely no reason to comment on it at this moment. People will always wildly speculate as we see on here but if ticking along then why go public. As someone has pointed out, that Twitter thing is nonsense

I guess so to an extent but why comment if nothing to report but I think the fact we're bringing players in shows that we're not in any trouble. Of course forgot about Brown signing as well so that's 3 decent enough outlays transfer fee wise in the last year or so.

So just come out and say 'FFP's a pain blah blah blah but because of our cost cutting ....we've worked with the EFL..... got it under control' etc etc etc. Just bland platitudes will do. But as Lord says if you leave a vacuum people will start to try and fill it.

The trouble is they really don’t know there’s no silver bullet that’ says your in the clear given the Exceptional results we’ve posted , a lot is riding on the next set of results the chief executive has made a mess of almost everything else it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if this bites us , but then again we may have a joker to play in the results

Didn't John Coates or was It Scholes say it sucked but we have to work with it at the microphone night? I know was a while back now
