Decent crowds in Nashville, wiki says almost 28k last year. Heard the city is fun too. He's landed on his feet and I think his play could suit MLS. Went to watch them play. Was very good. It’s like an American version of Bristol City, with the street food and live bands etc. Would gladly take Muhktar from Nashville over here too. Great player. I've seen matches in Vancouver, Portland and Seattle. Off the field all of them wipe the floor with any club in this country for the ordinary fan. I looked at Chicago in October as I'm thinking of going. I can see the Blackhawks for $37, Bears for $180 or Chicago Fire for $180! They've got Inter Miami at home so looks like ticket prices have been jacked in the hope Messi plays.

If you’re a Country Western singer a move to Nashville is a big deal. A professional ‘soccer’ player… not so much. If you’re earning $10k+ a week and living in a State with less tax than the UK, I think it’s a great move. Especially if you like culture. The MLS has come a long way over the last decade. I'd love to be a professional footballer and play out my career over there, it's a great opportunity. 24 seems too young though.

I happened to be in Nashville on the night they played their very first MLS game after being added to the league. They were playing in the Tennessee Titans NFL stadium as their ground hadn’t been built yet. There were over 60,000 there that night including a good couple of thousand away fans from Atlanta, Great atmosphere. There’s a lot of interest in “soccer” in that part of the US. I made the mistake of thinking the advertised time on the ticket was the kick off time. It wad actually the time the pre-match show started so I sat through an hour of cheerleading on a freezing March night.

Found his level. Awful player Awful is possibly stretching it a bit Played his part in forests promotion and played his part in keeping them up. Maybe he was just used wrongy by MON. Good luck to him. Earning good money, getting a great experience in a great US city, Grab every good opportunity you can out of life and enjoy the ride.

Also a lot of their “soccer specific stadiums” wipe the floor with the ikea flat pack grounds in this country. I’ve browsed a load on google and most of them have unique architectural designs, and were built at great expense with fan experience the primary concern. I’m beyond jealous and tbh quite angry when I look at what many clubs in this country (ours included!) ended up with in comparison.

Lumen Field in Seattle is better than our national stadium and cost a 3rd as much. Portland's stadium is great, like an old skool ground here.

Even in France some of their most iconic grounds were designed “a’langlaise”. St Etinne’s for example which is fucking beautiful. Meanwhile we tear down our old grounds which I accept is sometimes just necessary for clubs, but then replace them with soulless meccano monstrosities and big fucking space bowls. It’s fucking barmy.

He helped to get them promoted and had a year in the Premier league, where he helped them to survive. You do realise that you are saying that you know better than Cooper, who signed over 20 players but kept Sturridge. According to you,he wasn't good enough for a relegation threatened Stoke City last season. How many of our present team, do you think, will ever play in the Premier League?

One of my favourite cities in the US. Night time vibe is very positive and relaxed. It's not just Broadway. Area around Printer's Alley is good. Enough to keep you busy during the day. Bands in the bars are pretty good as well. When I was there the US weekenders were always asking for the band to play George Thorogood 'one whiskey, one scotch'. This irked the band so they refused to play it until the tip box reached $50. An hour later the asking price was a $100. Quite a neat idea from the band I thought.

Your basic LAFC Vs Inter Miami ticket for the September game is about $500! Fucking hell. That's one hell of a Messi effect.

I am impressed that Cooper appears to have turned a profit on a player he clearly doesn't rate as being "Premier League" quality. With the price of a half-decent Premier League striker in his mid 20s probably starting at £25m (maybe even a lot more), there is no way that Forest would be selling a 24 year old Surridge for £5m if they thought he was anywhere near good enough. I would expect Campbell to score more than 1 goal in a season if he makes it to the Premier.
