Will take the 3points all day long. Varancic,Sawyer's and Allen as a three. Wow we have seen it before they are shocking together. Teams walk past them. All they do is dangle a leg. Shocking from professionals.

we play open and high up, a far cry from the cage days under Pulis.
We are 4th in the league so they can't be that bad. Vrancic for me is different gravy to the rest of the midfielders, his touch and passing range is excellent.

Sawyers was a passenger 2nd half as he usually is when we come under the cosh.
Though he is usually involved in a lot of the good stuff we do when we are on the offensive.
Vrancic ,well he scored and won the tackle that set Ty away.
Allen ? Well we know exactly what we're getting there.

Was very surprised we didn't bring Wilmot on to play in central midfield the last half an hour! That said, Vrancic was instrumental in both our goals though!

I've said it since we signed him sawyers is good while we're on top but when we're up against it he goes walkabout, still not convinced and not don't I want a player like that in our side.

All three were incredibly poor today and were completely bossed by what is essentially a league one midfield.

Individually, they're poor. As a unit, they're somehow even poorer.

All three were incredibly poor today and were completely bossed by what is essentially a league one midfield. This is confirmed by the fact Peterborough had nearly 65% of the possession.

Allen was poor today.
He just hides, in the role he’s playing he has to stand up and be dominate, but he’s just the complete opposite.
Let’s hope Thompson is back Wednesday….

Wow what can I say, Sawyers was the worst player on the pitch by a country mile and Allen was slightly behind him. Sawyers tried a few flicks and first time balls most never came off but without the ball he just stood there like a fucking traffic cone, didn't close down, didn't tackle, didn't press, no urgency just nothing he was worse than crap, Allen when he got the ball mostly seemed to give it to an opposition player, never protected the back 3 but ran about a bit more than traffic cone Sawyers. What a shambles these 2 looked. I thought they were that bad I was shouting for MON to sub them both and replace them with Ince and Wilmot. Neither could have made a worse job of it. Vrancic was like a Rolls Royce in a banger race and without him it could have been a circus. Gouranga.

If tymon is injured and your Fairview enough view above perhaps 442 is an option at Bristol

You're wasting your time mate,we win 3 games on the trot and all some so called fans can do is moan their bag off🙄Me personally i thought they(Peterborough) played well without a goal threat, this league is a grind and if we’re to be involved in the play off shake up we’ll have to grind out some results some weeks.

But this isn't about the result, Joe Allen £55k a week and was shite, Romaine Sawyers probably earning £30k+ a week both supposedly top class players but today they were fucking garbage, we won in spite of these 2 not because of any contribution they were on the pitch to make, Sawyers was effortless but in the worse possible meaning of the word and Joe Allen was just shit. Gouranga.

I known we won but completely agree with the OP.
Sawyers drifts through games. Doesn’t close down, doesn’t put a foot in. Watch him for a few minutes next match and you’ll see when we don’t have the ball he does none of the dirty work a midfielder should.
We don’t control and dominate games enough to carry players in midfield. The fact that we won doesn’t change the fact that the midfield 3 today isn’t balanced and if I was MON I’d be looking for a Whelan type player in January.

I've said it before and ile say it again Allen is a different player with somebody mobile along side him. Thompson would be a lot better sawyers does nowt so Joe is trying to do 2 people's jobs again like he did with mikel and fletcher.

I can remember fans including my dear old Dad knocking Arnie because of his body language etc but physically and technically he could mix it with the best. Sawyers just has more holes in his game than a Swiss cheese, fuk off soon Romaine. Is it a coincidence you're named after a lettuce.

It's a mystery how we've kept 3 consecutive clean sheets with these non tackling midfield players who don't do any of the 'dirty work'. We clearly desperately need a right hard dirty bastard in that midfield......don't we??

I don’t think Sawyers put one tackle in all game. We will get found out by better teams unless we get some steel in midfield, it’s that simple. I’m happy we won. I’m happy we kept a clean sheet. We can still give an honest appraisal and say we have areas where we can improve.

With half an hour left I really thought our midfield was overran, and I was sure MON would replace Sawyers or Vrancic with Wilmot to make us more competitive and stronger defensively. Why he didn't is still a mystery to me! I know Vrancic assisted our second, but we really needed more steel in midfield, no doubt about that!
