How very noble of you. I take it you didn't wear a poppy, or contribute to the RBL, following your previous criticism of them? The point of this thread is that many feel that the Club should have commemorated on the day of the Cardiff match, like many other Clubs did on that day. A bugler playing to an empty Stadium on 11th was a fairly poor show. To compare Remembrance Day to Halloween (or something) is quite frankly, beyond laughable Is it? It’s become a dick measuring competition. It’s very crass. Have to say and I can’t believe it I am once again agreeing with Bayern, Remembrance Day is becoming a circus that has been hijacked by folk looking to spread fear in the name of righteousness.

I paid my respects at the Cenotaph last Sunday, I would have happily done it again today but not the end of the world. I’d quite happily go back to the act of remembrance being on the anniversary itself and/or Remembrance Sunday like it used to be before it became an industry like Halloween or something…… How very noble of you. To compare Remembrance Day to Halloween (or something) is quite frankly, beyond laughable I wear a poppy on the two days in question, not 44 days before and 23 days afterwards. I don’t build a re-enactment of the Battle of the Somme in my front garden, stick a giant poppy on the grill of my car, or dress up as a one. And the RBL don’t get a penny from me, I donate to two other smaller charities one based in Yorkshire and one in the North West. I have had personal dealings with the RBL whilst trying to get help and support for ex-armed forces living on the streets of Manchester, to say I was unimpressed with them would be an understatement. They should dip into their vast reserves of cash over Christmas to stop veterans dying of hypothermia this winter that would be a good start……

Let's get away from any kind of "I'm right you're wrong" arguments. It's quite clearly an oversight by the club. You've all seen it happen in the past and it was inexplicably and obviously forgotten due to the fixture schedule.
I also wouldn't call expecting an organised minute silence at a game a dick measuring contest either. However, if it was, we would be embarrassed by football clubs from all levels across the country.
Also, asking if veterans would be upset by not having one doesn't make any sense. What about those left behind who want to respect their lost relatives and friends?
Finally, the #lestweforget left on the lone bugler video posted by the club was as embarrassing as not having acknowledged it in the first place. You forgot Stoke. Plain and simply embarrassing.
