The trouble of course is we are completely incapable of reinvesting the proceeds in anything likely to resemble a top six team see Brown , Fletcher , surridge , wilmot, last seasons january loans , etc etc etc effectively this management is selling the best assets it inherited ( having improved them granted ) and replacing them with more dross it’s a real concern fir the future I can’t see any of our signings increasing in value so essentially we are asset stripping the squad and using a proven flawed process to try and replace them long term thats a recipe for long term continued decline and ultimately disaster . 'long term continued decline'? Even with recent results wouldn't you agree that this season has been an improvement? Id say Over 7 years we have a trend of significant decline with the odd false dawn , 10 games at the start of this season who knows but we are steadily slipping into the same pattern as last year

Irrelevant to me whether goes for 15 or 25. Highly unlikely to be reinvested properly.

Start the bidding at £50 million.
If you don’t like it, then fuck off.

It certainly does matter given the manager who signed him being the one accused of leaving the club with nothing …Add Tymon to that list also Also he was the one who started looking at bringing the academy up to standard after it’s years of neglect so add Collins, Bursik etc to the the above

If we have to pay 15% sell on then it needs to be more than 20 million (or 24 million euros as some outlets were quoting)

My point being, if it was a flop we're talking about, we'd have a 74 page thread on a Scholes or MON fuck up again.

24 million? Sell sell sell We’d have to sell at that price surely? We’d be mad not to.

Is this potential bid from Everton for January or the summer? We'd have to accept 20m+ in either scenario but it would be nice to get to the end of the season with him and reassess.

As good as he’s been, I’d bite anyone’s hand off for 20 million. He was probably worth £2 million 12 months ago

I don't think Everton have any money to spend. My understanding is FFP restricted them in the summer too. But with players having left since and some due to leave they may be able to sign him on a long term deal.

Look at Butland no chance I would of taken less than 30million at one time, in the end I was happy to see him just get off the books.

Does it mean Everton will back from their offer a quarter of a billion (in Swe Crowns)? 20M£ I think we will accept 16m +addons.(to around 20m). Think towards Jan after we can clearly see we are mid table and going nowhere it will be considered a decent offer.
