I tell you one thing that really drives me nuts, is people who think that Jethro Tull is just a person in a band.

Should have been going, but have a PCR test on Saturday before going on holiday in Turkey on Monday, so gave my ticket away! 😞

Yes I'm going. Second time seeing them at Vicky Hall. First time was back in the 80s on the Crest of a Knave tour so a fair gap. Looking at the set list it's going to be a pretty decent gig I think.

I tell you one thing that really drives me nuts, is people who think that Jethro Tull is just a person in a band. I once asked a girl I was seeing if she liked Led Zeppelin and she said “mmm I think I’ve heard of him”

Without googling I’ve always assumed he was a mad eccentric poet dressed like a wizard of some description but obviously not based on the posts.

Really enjoyed that. The lad went with me he must have been the youngest there by a couple of decades

On another note, would you know which one's "Pink" from Pink Floyd? The Danny Wilson in 'Danny Wilson' was the sometime Sheffield Wednesday manager wasn't he?. I always thought Judas Priest was better when he went solo - though I found I could never really trust him. And the Thompson Twins would have been easier to spot if they'd been identical.

Really enjoyed that. The lad went with me he must have been the youngest there by a couple of decades I love Jethro Tull. I didn't go tonight as I've seen them / him 6 times already over the last 20 years. That included a couple of Ian Anderson solo gigs, one with the RPO, and one a Christmas concert in Manchester Cathedral. In all honesty his voice is not what it was, but the flute playing is still as great as it always was and he's always good for a bit of banter / storytelling between songs. Oh yes and he's got a pretty decent back catalogue to choose from

I love Jethro Tull. I didn't go tonight as I've seen them / him 6 times already over the last 20 years. I'm mad then having seen three bands over 20 times each in my 20 years of gig going. I know people who've seen the same band well over a hundred times too. I considered the Jethro Tull gig (and Rumours of Fleetwood Mac tonight) but am sticking to the gigs I want to go to most of all at the moment.

Only two of them left now. The Thompson Twins? For years I thought TOWIE was a group when heard people talking about 'them'. A bit like Steps or The Directions or one of those popsters of the time.

I've never seen them from back in the day, too young initially then too poor I was informed that his voice had diminished over the years but to be fair it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I expected. He was intelligent, articulate and humorous as ever and the band were very good. Great set, great delivery just missing Life's a long song and Minstrel in the gallery for me but plenty of highlights with Upper class the highlight for me and Bourree probably hitting all the right spots for the audience along with Locomotive Breath. A lovely civilised evening out started at 7:30 prompt and finishing at 9:30 prompt allowing him time to get back to his cats

I've only seen one band, Belle and Sebastian over 20 times, it takes some doing seeing a band that often. I reckon over the years I've only been in double figures with a few artists, Al Stewart, Joan Armatrading, U2

Songs from the Wood, Thick as a Brick, Living in the Past were highlights for me - Aqualung sounded a bit weird but a decent show on the whole......
