I didn’t think Huddersfield were good though. It was a poor game between two sides who weren’t playing well. But what @lgh87 asked doesn’t include you Bayern, they asked whether “us ‘ fans’ over analyse?” 😉 to be a fan of something… is to ‘support’ something, which usually doesn’t involve repeatedly bashing a negative hypothetical scenarios over everyone’s heads. It was an above average championship game between 2 unusually inform teams, a more tightly contested than expected affair, where we went a goal down and for the past 5 years that would have been it, but we turned it around and won the game. Well done lads, there is no rule book that says it has to be done pretty, blathering on constantly about what one fan thought of it this or that ‘this should have happened instead’ for 3 freaking days after the event - well that’s just sad and ugly. Your first two paragraphs are laughable nonsense. It was a poor game of low quality. We had one meaningful shot on target. Neither side looked a threat. Neither side passed the ball well. Neither side did anything really. Freaking out? Stop being dramatic

Blimey. This stuff goes on and on. I have one observation. Extremely critical/ negative people tend to be more right than wrong when things are on the slide. Its been a rough 5 or 6 years. But things change. Things are on the up. O Neils turning Brown into a decent forward. Having a decent season. Be interesting to see how much he can keep improving.

Hopefully by controlling the ball more than 1 in 5 times 😂 There’s some definite overegging a hard worker here. We’ve seen it so many times before.

And he clearly gives a shit. I love to see it. Is that the right amount of eggs?

If he keeps ‘controlling’ it into the net like he did that header I’ll overegg him all he likes. Sounds wrong but you know what I mean.

It was brilliant. Pretty much a standing jump. Three Huddersfield defenders around him. Top class. There is a touch of the Calvert-Lewin’s about him in terms of his running style and physique, he’s a great header of the ball as well….. Definite parallels. DCL might well reach Brown’s level at some stage.

Even though he's improved, has to give way for Campbell.

Even though he's improved, has to give way for Campbell. I doubt he thinks that. Big game for Jacob tonight. Hope he’s as up for it as I think he will be. Hat trick would do.

Think they could make a good pair if playing on the break away If our midfield personnel can allow for it - I’d be very curious to see a front three of Brown / Campbell / Surridge - the pressing and speed with the abilities to finish and the quick interplay on a sudden counter - could be quite the scare to some opposition defences.

Well played Brown, did lots of the running to stretch them, almost on the end of a few balls over the top and into the channels.
Some can’t appreciate not every player is Lionel Messi but I think he’s vastly improved and is an asset in the team.

Exactly, we’ve got the attacking options of Powell, Campbell and Sima to come, life could be a lot worse……

He's set up four Barnsley attacks this half Give over He's a great runner, never stops trying. But he is a liability playing there, in the second half the ball bounced off him every time and it gave us a lot of unnecessary defending to do. He's a guy you bring on as a sub out wide to run the channels. He's improved a bit. I don't think he'll be playing much in a few weeks with Sima and Campbell coming in

He’s a tenacious player and I think he does a job of occupying defences and creating space.

Much improved but lacks quality. First half simple ball back to Vranic and he has a free shot from the edge of the box. Brown tries a difficult volley on the turn. Lacks football intelligence.

If you could go back in time and make the decision again, either sign him for 2.5 mill, or try and find someone else to spend that money on instead, what would you do?

Interesting question mate, depends who we can get for the money, I’ve no idea who we could’ve signed for that money? Ben Pearson? Yes Pearson, but we needed pace and a striker and he was who we got.
